Does it matter?
I've just been called a liar because my actual location is about 3 miles away from the real location (discretionary purposes).
I find it a bit harsh due to the accusers location being "East London", which could cover approximately 350 Square Miles.
Am I in the wrong here? What's the fab view on this?
Cheers,
Alan |

"I never give my location out, it's irrelevant, there's too many weirdos on here.
Mrs "
That's what I thought. The accusers reaction definitely seemed over the top given the typical relevance the location seems to have |

"Nope not entirely accurate.
We don’t want to put exact and if several miles makes a difference to someone then they aren’t really a consideration anyway.
K"
It was more being called a liar that annoyed me I think. I could have put a wider location (borough, county etc.), but thought a couple of miles would be OK. |

We recently changed ours to a wider area. I think it's wise to keep certain things vague on the net. We spend ages warning our kids of giving out too much personal information then ignore the warnings ourselves, it seems crazy |

If they don’t like your explanation as to why you put whatever location you put then it’s their problem, just move on and find someone else on your wavelength
I’m not actually in Bath either, although I am soon to be the true Lord of Bath… |

I'm actually in Scotland but shuuush don't tell anyone
Seriously, I wouldn't give my exact postcode location, because of the nutters/ weirdos on here.
I'm in the Southwest that's good enough

Unless someone is given a meeting address that's inaccurate, then there are no guarantees of anything, as so many technical constraints will influence things
If a guy just has enough bus fare for a short trip, he may be better off improving his stamina, through regular exercise.

My location is wrong, on purpose.
A guy argued with me once as it showed on his I was 5 miles away, it wouldn't believe me that I wasn't.
I never look at locations though. |

No you're not in the wrong.
I don't live in the centre of Manchester, but I'm pretty near. |
