Hard to select a team for that with only a few games left in PL. We need 2 wins for 4th in my opinion given spurs run of games. |

The Villa are in a European semi final for the first time in 42 years and I’m starting to dream!

Well done to you all. For those of you going, you will love the atmosphere at Olympians. Second best atmosphere I have ever seen anywhere in the world. I imagine for a semi final it will be even better.
Maybe now you lot appreciate what a great effort it took for my lot to win the UECL last season. (Btw, we were unbeaten in 15 games, winning 14).

That would put Villa on 69 points, Spurs are currently on 60 points & have a game in hand, and I could see them getting 3 wins from Burnley Sheffield United & Chelsea, the other fixtures are a North London Derby which can always go either way, & Liverpool who are hitting a bad run of form. Man City is a write off.
I think 4th place will go right to the wire. 5th will definitely be a Europa League spot now given the poor performances of the other English teams in Europe. |

If we win today and Liverpool beat Spuds then Champions League football next season is guaranteed. If that happens on a sunny bank holiday weekend when the Blose got relegated……if Carlsberg did weekends!

Villa have the best manager in world football at the moment. Tactically superior to pep and anchelotti. With their players he would obv do even better but villa have a strong chance in the CL this year. Id bet now we make the QF. |

Played well at Fulham on Sat, though if Periera had actually tried scoring with the penalty (which I thought was a bit soft) rather than playing a fucking backpass it might have been different.
But Villa should have been in front by half time & were definitely better side after the break |

I’m enjoying what El Maestro is doing on the pitch but I do think that we concede too many goals to be a serious contender. Still I’d settle for another 4th place finish but deep down it’s far too long since we won a trophy! |
