A blue series two rs turbo that was a combination of two rotten rs turbos I’d owned previously went to scrap yard found a solid shell painted underneath and inside rebuilt from ground up and sent for professional re spray, I started it after a breakup that I took pretty bad (first serious one) and spent countless hours on it and helped me get over it, sadly I sold it to a mate for a fraction of what I’d spent on it after having my first kid I made him promise to give me first refusal but he never did and sold it on I still have the odd dream about that car now would give anything to still have it |

Best car I’ve ever owned Land Rover Series 3 I learned to drive in them it was my first car after passing my test etc…
Favourite car I’ve ever owned TVR Tuscan
Fastest car I’ve ever owned Lamborghini Huracan (or one of the Caterhams).

"I have to say . Not one best car, but same model of car. Now owned three Honda CRV. Yes all diesel . Two were the 2.0 ltr . Now have 1600 ltr . " can't argue with that my wife is on her 2nd crv and quality and reliability has been excellent |

I was weirdly fond of the Honda Accord I bought as a stop gap last year. Until the bottom of the engine fell out as I was driving, I was less fond of it then, funnily enough.
My little 1.6 petrol astra that I did over 200k in before a tree fell on it and killed it
But most of all I love my current set of wheels |

Enjoying the posts and bringing back memories...my best was the original Audi quattro 2.2 which I got cheap deal off my brother, unfortunately only had it for 2 years as I couldn't afford to run it at the time |

Car or vehicle? Difficult choices. Probably best car was 2 door Honda Accord automatic which had a Capri look to it. At the same time I had a four door Quintet manual which I loved just as much.
In parallel I started down the MPV route with one of my all time favourites a Toyota Space Cruiser. Fantastic memories of using that as a day van in the woods at Eureka.
My all time favourite was a tin top Mazda Bongo diesel. It did everything I wanted for 14 years.now replaced with a Honda Stepwgn. Nice vehicle, almost silent after driving a diesel but miss the torque. Seen nothing else on the horizon which will really be what I want but I've got first refusal on a later cam belt free version but which is getting too clever for what I need.
I can truly say the golden age is over for useful uncomplicated vehicles but at least cam belts are going out of fashion as money pits. My little 2003 Suzuki ignis runabout is cambelt free and I am hanging on to that knowing that I will never again get such a great small car.
All the vehicles mentioned were built in Japan for the worldwide RHD market and
Not bastardised for Britain euro built versions. That's what made them irreplaceable favourites. My golden age of vehicle owning is, sadly, over. |

1991 toyota corrola 1.8 diesel.
Had it for 8 years until the head gasket went with 380,000 miles on the clock. Up to that point never gave any bother and was the easiest car I ever owned in terms of being able to service it myself |

Ford esc0rt series 1 rs turbo, would be a dream to own one again, but there getting completely out of reach as the years go on, I had the sierra sapphire cosworth too, loved it also, but there is just something about the series 1, so many good memories, |

Best car was an Alfa Romeo GTV, cost a small fortune to keep on the road but worth every penny.
Best motorbike, Aprilia RSV1000R Gen 2. Seriously modified, awesome on every way, and loud enough you could hear it in the next county. |

My current one. First time I've ever had one where everything works well, no warning lights and is reliable.
To some it's boring but to me now that's priceless.
Oh and heated seats and steering wheel are lovely |

Hmmmm lots of fun enjoyed with my mk2 XR2, for the brief time I owned it my Impreza turbo was great fun. So it's a tight call between those two and my kit car that I'm currently bringing back on the road after a few years tucked in the garage. |

Most fun I have is usually in smaller cars as courtesy cars.
Had a laugh with a new model VW polo for a few weeks recently as lower to ground, tighter turning circle and unexpected welly in first and second gears.
Normally have something bigger and more practical for home life. |

The Ice White Volvo C70 T5 hardtop convertible which I very, very reluctantly had to part company with just before Christmas...
....looked great, especially with the roof down, drove beautifully, and had loads of power - I always used to find it highly-amusing to look in the rear-view mirror at a boy racer in his hot hatch who'd thought he was going to beat me away from a set of lights... |

Maybe not the best car, but my first car - a Mini Van - TVY 687H - a 1970 model which was blue and rust, but hey we all have to start somewhere.
Best cars - probably one of the numerous VW Beetles and T2 campervans that I owned and restored over the years - Old style Beetles, not those modern watercooled jobbies mind |

Not sure it's the best car, but a year on, I still can't get enough of my Toyota CHR. It's a dream compared to many of my previous cars. I did briefly have use of a brand new Qashqai before I bought this one though, and I felt pretty much invincible in that! |

Ferrari FF is my current toy and the best car I’ve ever owned, I don’t usually keep cars for long but approaching 2 years with this one… but I specialise in the early 2000 Cooper S cars as a side business and own a couple of JCWs.
Japanese cars are where my heart lies.
Previously owned an NSX, Supra, various GTRs, Type Rs… the list is endless |

"Undoubtedly my 2.2 Vauxhall Vectra CD which I drove for 20 years and was heart-broken when it finally died three years ago. It had done 170k miles and could still do a good thrash up the motorway."
Briefly owned one of the V6 vectras an absolutely amazing car…wish I’d owned one of the lotus Carlton’s |

My '72 mini was fun, as you'd expect it to be.
My Rover 820 was really plush and comfy.
My 7 seater Montego estate was massive inside.
My Roomster had happy naughty memories and dark window/panoramic roof. |

Technically my current one (BMW 440i - very fast, comfortable and reliable)...
Favourite is a toss up between 3 I owned a few years ago; Corrado VR6, Audi S2 coupe or '86 Audi Coupe GT.
Sadly not much time or storage space for anything that needs proper looking after these days. |

Tough one - technically it was my BMW E39 M5 but we currently have a Subaru Legacy estate with a 3.0 flat 6 which we picked up for less than £2k 6 years ago. And that just does everything we ask of it. |

Jesus, that’s a tough one…..
The most loved (maybe) - the Astra GSi I had; did everything to it that every self-respecting boy racer does….full respray, bodykit, alloys, engine mods, seats, dials, interior mods. Poured my heart (and a small fortune) into it.
The most ‘special’ - TVR Tuscan 2. The looks, the noise, the speed. Loved that car to bits (hard to choose between that and the Astra, they meant a lot at each respective point in my life). Gutted when I had to let it go.
The most practical - Ford Mondeo TDCi. Did a ludicrous amount of miles in that thing and with the back seats dropped it was cavernous; could fit so much stuff in it (came in very useful for helping a mate move house).
The nicest overall - MB EQC400. Lovely inside, super comfy, plenty of boot space and pretty big with the back seats down. Quiet and serene on the move, but violently quick (thanks to 760Nm!) when it needs to be! |

Probably not the best but my favourite was a Honda Prelude 2.2 Vtech Japanese import.
I got it when I was quite young, I had a lot of fun in that car. I'd only had junkers before that one, so it was like a little slice of heaven. |

"In all honesty, pound for pound, I had a 17 plate diesel Qashqui on lease. Brilliant.
Otherwise Mk 2 Esc0rt RS Turbo, 20 plate F Pace and my current 13 plate XF have been/are favourites "
Ok Nissan ? Never driven one.. but worth a shot |

I’ve had a few.. last car was great , a diesel mondeo which I owned fault free for 10 years and 150,000 miles..
The better ones before were 2 capri’s which I loved..
An xr4i Sierra followed by an xr4x4 turbotechnics which was awesome but the best was my 1986 xr2, American 1.9 cvh block very modified giving 150bhp at the wheels, |

"A 1998 K11 Micra. I did 8 years of virtually trouble free motoring in it. Bought at 70k miles, driven to 128k.
I had a similar, but shorter experience with a 1996 Mondeo. "
My current Micra is 128k miles now. Hoping for a few more. It's been great, must admit I've never treated it well (no mechanical sympathy) but it just keeps going!! |

The dealership that i purchased first two honda crv’s from . Plus one honda civic . Has now change to a different manufacturer. When I asked why. Salesperson who known for years said. Problem was . People bought honda’s and kept them as so reliable. Did not replace say every few years? |
