So been here near on 8 years, okay I got older etc etc
But is it me or has this site become something that isn’t really a swinging site?
Just think it’s lost its usp?
Seems like every every one thinks… they are a genuine swinger….

I know exactly what it means and I'm not one and have no wish to be either.
I have made lots of friends through this site and don't plan on leaving anytime soon regardless of it's name |

Well, swinging in its true definition is couples swapping. Everything else is not considered swinging by hardcore old skool swingers. We get sneers and dirty looks when we tell couples how we play as not considered swingers. All I know is that this site is what ever you want it to be unless you only play with ladies. Good luck getting an answer or making plans, it's so busy for single ladies on here they simply can't or won't reply to most. It's a shame actually as we've met and played unplanned with ladies from here at clubs by chance that have straight up blanked us when we messaged them. in person seems to be the way to get most single ladies attention we've found.
But we have managed to get quite a few meets solely from here still but it's really hard work and like a second job, it's meant to be fun but when it's chase, chase, chase it's not fun.

Does it really matter, OP? For me, it's a community of people who share an interest in sex beyond the conventional. Swinging is part of that but not the only part. It's a broad church and I oike that. I've met lots of people I wouldn't have met if we just stuck to the definition of swinging as mentioned above - couples swapping only. |

I've been here twice that length of time.
Back when I joined there were couples who swung, singles who swung, people looking for random hook ups and one offs, people who just liked to cam or use the forums, people who did or didn't go to clubs, people who just went to events and parties, people crossing over from the kink/from community and people who just seemed to like browsing profiles and never meeting.
Some of all those categories considered themselves swingers and some just considered themselves as users of the site and didn't care for any given definition of what 'swinging' meant to others.
All were correct. |

Why do you care how others use the site? It has no impact on you and how you use fab.
We've been on here over 10 years and like the site. We don't particularly use it for meets though.

You’re so right. There’s alot of people here just looking for people to talk to. We’ve had someone expect us to pay for their whole night out before.
This is a site for sex not for a date. I wish those people would get off here and onto tinder.
The other problem with swingers here is those who put a list of demands in their bio and insist you put a certain word in your subject to show you’ve read the bio like your following their orders straight away… it’s a massive red flag. |

Why should people that want to date others in the lifestyle leave. I’m a regular club goer and want to find someone who has the same interests as me and on the scene. I can’t find that on any dating apps they are dire!

This site is whatever people want it to be.
Whilst more people have joined, it’s still no different in terms of its use.
There’s only one person that stops you from meeting the right people - you.
If FAB is broken to you, then change your ways to make it work again.

The site has definitely changed - not saying for better or worse- but it’s different. But then life is different now to when we signed up on here all those years ago. Social media has a massive impact, the way people communicate is different and we’ve had Covid. There is also another generation (or maybe 2 in our case) who see swinging as something different to people when we were first here. That’s their right. If we just want a hook up now we use hookup sites or another swinging site that didn’t exist back then. No problem! |

So people in this lifestyle can't date as well? Lots of people have met their other halves on here, then again everyone's idea of swinging can be different. I wouldn't go to tinder if I wanted a date, I've had more from here and happy to continue doing so. |

Agree Mr Ben completely but there’s not a lot the site or swingers can do but I believe that there are still many fabbers that still enjoy the lifestyle.

Yes it is a swingers site however people use it as -
A hook up site
A cheaters site
A voyager site
An ego boost site
A sex site
A cam site
As is usually mentioned on these posts "people use it however they want" if it was purely a swingers site as intended there wouldn't be many left.

I’ve been on here a similar amount of time I don’t think it’s really changed.
Defining what swinging has never really been a topic or an issue that interests me. In a broad senses It’s pretty obvious why everyone is here.
I just meet people get to know them , if compatible make friendships with singles, couples and go on adventures. |

Well in the name of the app fabswingers it suggests it should be for swingers keys in the bowl etc but its developed to a dating site where love is in the air everytime you look around  |

The only swingers on here are couples. Singles cant be swingers because they dont have a partner to swing with. Ive lost count at the amount of singles on here who have coupled up and then promptly announced they are 'just staying for the forums' because they dont want to cheat (lol).
The site hasn't changed at all from a couples perceptive. If you are a couple who want to meet other couples and singles then its as good as its always been. If you're a single guy then its going to be difficult and if you're a single woman its going to be extremely easy to get meets.
