A client had a seperate vehilce ( brand new ) so that the dog walker could drive it to take the two Dachshund‘s to doggy day care, take the to the local dog park and drive them home,
The car never went anywhere else and was about a 4 mile round trip |

Duties as an assistant housekeeper working for toffs- included fulfilling all their quirky whims and pernickety preferences above and beyond anyone's reasonable expectations and pretty well required to be on call 24/7 for some obnoxious house guests. Most memorably, on one occasion I had the joy of being summoned by phone to assist/extract a large Lord stuck in his bath....or so he said. Dirty old devil. lol. The lady of the big house was thick as, and once gave one of her kitchen staff a "present" of a pheasant carcass that had already been boiled up to the bare bones to make soup stock for a shooting party, as she thought they might be able to make something nutritious from it for their children. The cellar book included wine costing £1200 a bottle. Its a different planet for those who live in privilege but while wealth can bring them power it doesnt make them behave better. |
