I'm going to buck the trend and say Dark Crystal. I like that there are no humanoid characters. Labyrinth is more readily watchable though and less scary but I love the set designs and the creepy antagonists in Dark Crystal.
However The Neverending Story beats both. |

Creepy movie in Spanish.very dark !"
Feel like that one is really a completely different ball game, awesome film but not in the same area as Dark Crystal or Labyrinth
