My dad is average weight, doesn't drink, smoke or eat fatty foods and he's got high blood pressure. And no it doesn't run in the family either. My mum is a bigger lady and has no problems at all.

Ah I see. Sorry I didn't realise 'curves' mean obese - I had in mind an ample, possibly 'hourglass' kind of figure, that's what curvy suggests to me.

That is not the point, the OP was implying that it is better to be curvy than slim. I was simply making the point that being overweight is usually associated with disease and in my opinion I don't find that sexy.

- over 40 years old

- have a relative with the condition

- are of South Asian, African-Caribbean or Middle Eastern origin

- are overweight or obese
