What makes you well up watching Star Trek

For me it's when hanger Bay 12 opens to reveal the Enterprise D and 7of9 being promoted to captain.

I'm proud to be a Trekkie and I always will be.

Live long and prosper

The Kingdom

Big Star Trek fan myself as well, hard to narrow down moments from the many many moments.

One that stands out at the moment would be when Q gave Data a gift after returning to bing a higher being after being banished.

Seeing Data in uncontrollable laughter only to have to stop because the others could not understand. That one moment of emotional bliss to our android officer.

So many moments.

Mine would be "In Theory" Data has a relationship, and at the end of the episode, she dumps him, so Data says he will delete the programme and the episodes ends with Data stroking spot looking emotionless.

One of my laugh out loud moments is from 'Hollow Pursuits' Reg Barclay has been named Broccoli by Wesley Crusher behind Regs back and Picard bans the crew from calling him such a name.

Later on the bridge Reg and other members of the crew are in a meeting when Picard asked Mr Broccoli for his opinion.

So funny the look on the crews faces and Picard is priceless.

The Kingdom

The Next Generation was a great series.

I remember the episode Picard takes a break/holiday and Riker asks his to pick him up a souvenir.

He does so and keeps getting pestered by woman as Picard is trying to read a book.

Turns out that the souvenir displayed beside him was a 'looking for company' sign on the planet

"Can't wait for strange new things season 3"

2025.

I think the episode that gives the feels for me is deep space nine where Sisko and Garak manufacture the reason for the Romulans to side with the federation and Klingons.

‘In the Pale Moonlight’ tells the story in retrospect and you see Sisko’s struggle with doing what’s wrong for the right reasons. Garak of course, has no issue with that sort of thing and the difference between them so apparent

The most inspiring part of Trekkie universe has to be the credits and the song for the series star Trek enterprise.

It's by far the best tune out of all the series, although the series wasn't as successful as the others.

Funniest scenes worf on the holodeck where they're all dressed up as Robin hood:

Captain, I must protest, I am not a merry man!

The other one when data gets an emotion chip in the movie first contact I think it was, the enterprise goes for a crash landing, data sees it and says oh shit!

Saw that in the cinema and the whole theatre erupted.

Loved the original series with cast members: William Shatner as James T., Leonard Nimoy as Spock, DeForest Kelley as Leonard McCoy, etc.

"Live long & prosper"

"Beam me up, Scotty" - Captain Kirk

"To boldly go where no man has gone before" - Captain Kirk

“I am a doctor, not a bricklayer” - Dr. McCoy

“Sometimes a feeling is all we humans have to go on.” - Captain Kirk

“I have been, and always shall be, your friend” - Spock

“Damn it, Jim!” - Dr. McCoy

“Highly illogical” - Spock

William Shatner is not liked at all by many Star Trek actors including TNG, please look up William fu@king Shatner, by Will wheaton and a very old weakest link with actors from Star Trek I looked for it and looks like it has been taken down, but they vote him out every round even though he was the highest, the contempt for him is shocking.

Shatner saw himself as the star hence he felt the best lines and camera shots should be for him to the determent of the rest of the cast.

Spocks death scene, first time I saw it was in cinema in Tamworth, I blubbering so much an usher came to me to see if I needed assistance, there is an episode of TNG which I think is called the offspring, its the one where Data makes his own daughter, she dies of course but I must say it caused a lump in my throat which is rare, because actually I'm a cold heartless bastard.

The Scene that gets me is from wrath of Kahn when Spock and Kirk are in the engine room as Spock have his life to save the ship.

From TNG the scene from Datas doughter dying is very sad. Also the scene of the two of them in a turbo lift where lal claims al the kids laughed at her so has mastered comedy is so bitter sweet.

I suppose what upsets me the most is what they did to Star Trek recently with the discovery shite, and now shit new worlds. The characters and acting (if you can charitably call it that) is just awful.

Same here including the unofficial other "Picard maneuver" Jean Luc did when he sat down, the entire initial reveal, the lights, the way they all look around the bridge, totally hit me hard.

For DS9 I'd also say The Visitor was an amazing episode, Tony Todd does so much to make an older Jake feel just like a young boy who loved and missed his dad.

Transsexual Transylvania

"Episode XCVII of Season XXIV of "ST:USS Fabb" - where they throw hkphooey out of an airlock. Very moving. Not a dry eye in the house as everyone was pissing themselves at his expression when his arsehole turned inside out...

Well I was enjoying the game. Was rather hoping that 'Hello' would join in."

I appreciate your input HKP - I just couldn't resist taking a pop at you

Bingo... my favorite episode of all!

Though the closing scene in the final episode was a close second.

I remember the line being;

Captain I must protest. I am not a merry man!
