Manchester

No names (unless you know for a fact that they won't mind) but can you describe a time when your fellow Fab users showed the site at its best - maybe you had support after sharing a problem, said something that gave you confidence, or found other users with the same geeky interest as you and ended up in a fun conversation about it. Anything you like.

I've had support and encouragement from Fab users when I've mentioned issues with anxiety on here which was very welcome and appreciated.

All over

There always decent people who will try and help. Nice banter and a bit of a laugh often passes the time and helps too. You get the ocassional ones that can't help themselves but there you go.

Manchester (she/her)

Right after I joined I landed in hospital. The one person I'd met for a social before that kept me company over the phone and virtually held my hand through frustration, pain, and fear. Pretty much instant friend for life.

There are some amazing people on here... and I think the difference with the people on the forum, is generally they are swingers and not just using it as a hook up site and see women as something to use.

I'm not saying that's everyone, but there are alot.

Have also met some amazing people from fab, who have been a friend in my struggles and in my celebrations... even if we never played again I know they are there for me and vice versa.

A couple years ago when it was full of funny people. Good times.

A few users (they’ll know who they are) were joking about me being Dean Gaffney the other month and it really tickled me up I’d had a really bad day in work and was shattered so wasn’t in the best of moods. But the daft back and to’s and clever Eastenders puns helped put a smile on my miserable face

Whenever I hear this question, a woman stands out as a massive shoulder to cry on and the support i needed when I needed it most.

Thank you x

I won’t name her, she would cringe.

Cheeseville, Somerset

Many people last year were absolute diamonds when I needed support and a pick me up.

Checking in, meeting for coffee, going out for drinks and making sure I had a blast at group social.

The site is full of hidden (and not so hidden) gems.

Always has been. Always will be.

Well I've never seen the two of you in the same room, so...

Gotham

100%

There are two camps. The winkers, who are happy to wink in public and support you - they have a sense of humour and are jolly good fun.

And then there are the rest, that carry immediate hatred and rage of contacted in any form and will block on first sight of anyone coming within their vicinity.

I love it.

There’s a thread posted today about self-image and confidence. I didn’t post in it but I thought it was a very gallant and an inspiring thing to read.
