What kind of message do you like to receive

I always remember one message I got from a guy, it was very short along the lines of "I can't be arsed to read your profile right now so I'll just leave this here and I'll be back" attached was a nice video, not the penis kind!
He did come back, about a week later.
I like honesty, humour, the lack of desperation. I HATE compliments.
Also I like ones from hot guys.

You sent us a lovely message so I’d say you are on the right lines.
We want to see a little bit of effort, something to show why you’re interested in us and just be respectful.
Everyone can’t fancy everyone so I guess the first message is just to test whether there’s an attraction and standing out a little.

I struggle a lot if there’s not much info on a profile, as I’m the kind of person that when I go onto a profile, the first thing I look at is their bio to see if there’s a common interest or something I can say that relates, as that’s more important to me than their photos. I’d be lying though if how they look doesn’t have a role to play if I’m going to message them, as I need to feel an attraction. But that works both ways, as the person or couple I’m messaging will look at both my pictures and/or profile and decide if they feel an attraction.

I like a bit of humour and personality
Preferably not one liners and even worse sometimes we get one word messages! Just makes you hit delete and not even bother going any further

I find it nice when someone’s educated on Trans people and doesn’t use phrases like ‘so do you dress up’, ‘are you dressed’ etc.
It’s nice to be treated like a person!

I think so often it's about the person and their profile, more than the message.
That being said, points in favour for showing that you've read the profile (not "I read your profile" and not "here's your keyword I've inserted"). Showing that you can have a conversation; showing that you're respectful and interesting. |
