I was pondering on my favourite LR Knost quote: "It's not our job to toughen our children up to face a cruel and heartless world. It's our job to raise children who will make the world a little less cruel and heartless."
And also fish or pudding for my chippy tea.

Whether if I embarked on a liaison with a lady on here that had a fetish for married men without their wife's knowledge, and I pretended to be married, even though I'm not, would be immoral.
Would the 2 deceptions cancel each other out. |

Yes! I’ve pondered it before and the answer is definitely yes. |

"I think this afternoon I experienced a long overdue closure. I feel liberated and ready to take on the world."
I did too. Something I should have realised years ago but today I've decided to move on completely from it x |

Is satisfaction with achievement really happiness? Even if that achievement is really meaningful to you? And if it isn't, does that matter?
I think that a lot of days, but I also thought about it today. |

I was thinking how easy it was to keep my son safe and happy when he was little. I could pull a silly face to make him hoot with laughter, scoop him up in my arms to make him feel secure and cherished, hold his hand as he explored the world and fed that unquenchable curiosity of his. Now I look at him helplessly as he struggles with his mental health and there isn't a thing I can do to make it better.

"That you had today, Friday 29th March 2024?"
I was thinking about network fragmentation , how the body heals itself naturally but often needs help/support and whether this applies to fragmented social capital |

"Why do very elderly insist on doing really stupid things that endanger their wellbeing?
Because we don't want to pay someone else to go up a ladder and clear the gutters!"
very true but I'm talking about a 96 year old trying to fix a shed roof in high wind. |

My Dad yesterday:
"This lamp doesn't work, we need an electrician"
Lamp - unplugged. Doesn't have a bulb in.
Me, Mr KC and my brother - all shake heads simultaneously

KC², when you three shook your heads together simultaneously did it resemble ³ metronomes in unison? |

We set dad up with a new mobile. Cue panicked phone call - mobile doesn't work.
Dash round - battery completely flat. |

My Dad obsessively charges his phone. He was upset yesterday because one of my brothers daughters was charging an iPad and he "needed" to charge his phone. It had 70% battery. |

My dad's the same with his laptop, it's never off charge. |
