...got bigger?

Or has my toaster shrunk?

I'm generally an Aldi/Asda shopper, but yesterday was near a Tesco and needed a loaf.

Just gone to make some toast and the sodding bread needed squeezing into the slots!

What's going on? I thought in this age of shrinkflation everything was getting smaller, not bigger?

Anything you've spotted of late that seems strangely bigger or smaller?

Manchester (she/her)

But the real question is, is it the best thing to happen since...?

Toasters have shrunk. You have to splash your cash for one that takes a full load

Loaf

I meant full sized loaf

south west

warburtons seems to be the only ‘Toastie’ bread that regularly fits my toasters.

As for things growing and shrinking…… I see this several times a day.

I think Penguin biscuits are smaller than they used to be. Glad they still have the rubbish jokes on them though.

I bought some Jaffa cakes last week. Box was the same as before size but the cakes were 30% smaller. I could've cried

The Town by The Cross

You must not trivialise the apparent changes in bread measurements Obi ....

Have you not noticed in Aldi, Lidl and Tesco ... the encroaching onto the shelves of 'artisan' type wrapped breads. Parading as bloomers and such like with their extra wide and thicker slices ???

Tempting I know. Makes you fell all 'traditional' ( that fookin' word ) and homely and coutryfied.......

Well let me tell you ..... close examination is what is needed by all COS ...... the bread is like a sponge cleaner that you'd use in the kitchen.

Apparently there is a modern process that enables water and very little flour to be expanded like loft insulation ..

and THAT Obi ..... is why I think your slice won't fit your gap.

Plus with more education going online, bread is again being supplemented with teachers' chalk stock gluts

I thought it tasted funny!

If only I had a loft I'm sure it would make for great insulation.
