To all the people who systematically and publicly state their allegiance to the hatred of profile ‘WINKING’ and go against the programmatic function of the entire winking concept of FAB and denounce their rights to ever utilise the WINK button - stating their oath on their profile (that apparently nobody ever reads) in the largest capital letters as they can (sometimes repeatedly)….
I wholeheartedly salute you.
(and wink at you anyway ) |

"Winking is a communication tool on this site. The founding fathers of Fab built that function into the site. If you don’t use it your just a bad communicator *shoulder shrug emoji "
Yep, definitely a rally to war this mate. Best get on this side of the line and watch out for 50% of the site instantly blocking you for that sort of talk.

"I'm not cool enough to wink - I just end up blinking
Just tilt your head slightly and a blink becomes a
Or wear an eye patch while you blink "
Or just hold one eyelid down.

"I just don't know what you are supposed to do with a wink?
Is it a friendly wave hello? Do I send one back? Do we just wink back and forth forever?
Far too stressful. No clear etiquette.

Winking is thoughtless and impulsive. It’s intrusive and entirely regressive. This was invented before the days of etiquette. It’s sort of a lazy primal grunt of an acknowledgement. Like the Mancunian head tilt/nod when you acknowledge someone.
You’re right anyone who sends a wink is disruptive and instigating a flurry of uncertainty - it’s best we ban winking from the site asap

"Winking is underrated but I don't know why they missed the opportunity to add pokes."
Could you imagine??!!
Winking in a sex hookup site is hated.
If they added poking in on here who knows what chaos there would be in knowing what to do next and how to respond to that? What could it even mean… Chaos |

"So umm is a wink good or bad? "
Depends which side of the line you’re on.
You can have a good wink or a bad wink.
Some are more skilled in the art of winking than others and think that’s where some of this anti-winking campaign stems from |

I am so glad you understand. It just isn't the behaviour of civilised people.
I feel flustered and discombobulated at the mere thought of being engaged in a winkathon of uncertainty until either old age takes me or UNLOS ends it.

Bringing out the big guns with words like discombobulated huh
I’m my even going to entertain a response to that, my deep primal impulse is driven by my reptilian brain, repelled by the thought of civilised mannerisms, literally making me feel the need to calm down and have a big wink.
Anyway true Winking is pulchritudinous and best shared like fine wine… |

"I get my vowels mixed up and end up wanking.
Once I even wonked. I felt off balance all day.
Let me hold you up! Wouldn’t want you wonking when you should be wanking! "
Good man, helping a fellow winker out, better to use two hands btw |
