At last MPs talk about STD’s

The STD rates in the country are out of control, and clinics are at breaking point, yet people on here loving bear back. I have spoke about this before but got called names. A report made back in 2020 was altered and true data changed as senior medical personnel refused to sign off on it, due to racial undertones. Cancel culture and fear of backlash has put people in danger. Just wear a bloody condom for gods sake !!!!!

Are they out of control? Or are we just talking about these things now?

Protecting ourself is our only responsibility, what other people do is their business.

Last time I spoke about this, I thought I was going to get banned, the backlash was horrendous, my ex is a GP, they have had big seminar about it, but speaking out could be career ending.

Tbh bareback is a repulsive practice especially on a site like fab, you don’t know how many partners a person has had. On several meets the men had no condoms and were willing to perform bareback until I threw a condom at their faces. It’s diabolical how many people are willing to risk theirs and others health’s. Thank you for highlighting this serious issue OP

I was told that due to the numbers being much higher in ethnic groups, that there would be calls of discrimination, so they are literally afraid to release actual data

Forgive me if Im wrong.

But aren't condoms are pretty useless if people don't use them correctly. Which most people don't. ?

Regular testing is 100% imperative for us, and people who think condoms are the key to everything actually really turn me off.

How many of you fuck with a condom but then take a load down your throat and tell everyone youre 'safe sex only'

Pretty careless is it not?

How many of you switch between girls without swapping a condom at group sex in a club,

How many of you eat a girl out or suck dick before putting the condom on?

I know they're 'less likely' but combined on a regular basis, is it not still a pretty big problem?.

Condoms, like any protection reduces effectiveness if not used correctly, still doesn't make them useless. Any data to back up the claim 'most' people use them incorrectly?

" Any data to back up the claim 'most' people use them incorrectly?"

Observation at clubs and my own experiences.

Also when I've had conversations with anyone about STIs there are a lot of misconceptions around.

Like people think they can't of passed on herpes to someone if they wore a condom and similar scenarios.

A lot of people just seem very blind to the facts still.

I bet if you did a quiz for everybody on fab, their STI knowledge as a whole would come back absolutely appalling.

Since your last post I've interviewed everyone in the whole world. Some admit to not using a condom effectively.

That's not proof of anything either.

Haha ok. Point taken.

I still believe it to be true though.

I'm not a keen club user, so perhaps those that partake in regular events are more clued up. But the average person that I have encountered personally, seems to lack knowledge and understanding. Not that I'm an expert but I'm certainly careful enough to look into it and not just breeze by thinking that wearing a rubber when you pop it inside saves us all.

La la land

How would be reporting incidence rate of any disease be racist?

For example, South Asians are predisposed to the development of diabetes due to biologic and lifestyle factors. Not letting the community know this would be detrimental would it not and against any hyppocratic oath in my opinion.

We didn't stop reporting that gay men were more likely to contract HIV. So it's not like there is no president to reporting a minority is at more risk of contracting a sexual disease.

I have found that I need to be explicit about my definition of safe sex as it does not match up with others at all. The understanding around sti transmitted via oral and how long to wait before testing are the key areas of misunderstanding that I have found.

Also very few people know about the full range of things you can catch that isn’t regularly tested by NHS. I have found most unaware of other symptoms to look out for that might be worth an honest chat with a new partner.

Which report? In 2020 and for the next couple of years, If anything the stats rates were lower rather than higher I think? Due obviously to Covid, less testing happening, but also less new sexual partners probably too. Home testing has become much more easier/popular as a result though. Which many are more inclined to do as its easy, plus it's taken pressure off the clinics. There have been drives to get under 25s aware of stds for years. Condoms aren't the be all of preventing everything, and promoting them as is not a great idea.

Huddersfield

House of Commons Committee report dated 26 March 2024

The prevalence of sexually transmitted infections in young people and other high risk groups.

Is on the UK parliament webpage.

Thats the latest report quite a long read but it gives all the figures and different groups.

It also states about lack of funding etc and what should be done to promote condom use.

I did not post the link because i am unsure if its allowed

Isn't that because more people are getting tested than before?

Yes there's much ignorance around stis but the fact is condoms are effective. I'm sure we've all at one time or another used them incorrectly but if used properly they are.

To write them off is definitely counter productive. I'd hate the young people I speak to about stis to leave thinking condoms are a waste of time as generally people don't use them right. Encouraging a 'what's the point?' attitude esp in a high risk group is definitely not progress.
