Money exchanging hands for meets

Good evening all! Just wondering if couples/singles charging for a meet is standard practice or an each to their own job?

Have no issue with it per se, but arranged a meet and then was told they charge. Kind of feels like that they're more interested in making money than actually connecting with people with mutual interests.

This is not ok, OP. Do not pay them, do not meet them, they are not looking for a connection and they are only looking to make money. Please report and then block them.
