So I need some inspiration.
I have been so good for last 2.5 months and lost 2stone. I still have some way to go and I have stalled.
Any hints or tips on getting back on it and motivation |

That's amazing well done
Dont punish yourself and make sure you have some of the things you want in moderation.
If you know your going to have a weekend out, eat a bit less over the week so you have some additional calories to play with.
I've lost alot of weight and it's not always easy

One way to re-motivate yourself for weight loss is to set small, attainable goals and celebrate your progress along the way. Focus on the positive changes you have already made and visualize how you will feel when you reach your ultimate goal. Surround yourself with supportive people and remember to be kind to yourself during the journey. |

"Do you track your food
Not really I (well did not been good for about a week now) cut out all rubbish food and shakes " stat by downloading an app called my fitness pal if you’re not tracking then you have no idea what’s going on so regardless of what you’re doing in the gym you need to be in a calorie deficit it’s that simple good look op |

Oo in that regard yes I make sure my calories are lower ect. (That how I have got the weight off so far).
Just gone off the waggon if you like and I'm not and just eating the bad stuff. Just trying to get motivated to go back to what I was doing and kick start it again x |

Well done you. You’ve done brilliantly so far. Maybe look at tracking your food. I found that after a while I got bored of tracking so would skip the snack just so I wouldn’t have to track it.
Also look at why you’ve stagnated. What’s triggered this pause. Sometimes life can make it hard. Unless you focus on that then it will always periodically hold you back.
So set yourself other goals. Say you’ve had a rubbish day with eating so ‘punish’ yourself by going up and down the stairs half a dozen times. Then you can feel like you’ve still achieved one way or another. Good luck getting back on track x |

"I’ve no advice I’m afraid but wanted to say well done. That’s a lot of weight to lose. X
Thabk you. I definitely do feel better for it. Just want to shift another 2-3 stone "
I need to shift at least 3 stone before I can start riding my young horse. I have 12 months to do it. Any tips are welcome.

2 stone is a brilliant achievement OP so hats off to you for making it this far.
As others have pointed out tracking food is essential. My fitness pal is a great recommendation. I personally use MyNetDiary as the premium edition is £15 a year and has a ton of recipes but really the main thing is just tracking what you’re eating.
I recommend reading or listening to the book that Noom released. It can really help provide some insight into why we have unhealthy relationships with food and can give you some practical tips for staying the course.
Losing weight can be a slog because it can be such a daunting task. I used to be obese and I remember when I set up my initial weight loss goal it had me hitting my target weight in over a years time. I remember feeling quite down about that because I wasn’t confident I’d be able to stick to it for that amount of time. However it’s worth remembering these things
1. The time passes anyway. Might as well continue to eat as healthy as I can as often as I can.
2. Losing some motivation and enthusiasm happens but don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Sometimes we just need a little time away but don’t abandon your goal.
3. Reminding yourself that, You lost 2 stone! I bet when you first started that seemed like a mile away but now you’re here.
4. Weight loss might get harder as you continue on the journey but life gets easier.
5. Reaching out for some support is always a good thing. If you’re still having issues getting back into the swing of things a few weeks from now just ask for a bit of encouragement again. Whether that’s friends, family or on here.
You got this |

Firstly well done! Amazing job
Here's my tips (haven't read the thread)
1. Hydrate. With water.
2. Don't start your diet on a Monday. Start it on a Friday. So if you go over during the weekend, you can claw it back.
3. Measuring scales are your friend until you get your eye in.
4. Grill don't fry
5. You probably aren't eating enough protein. Aim for 1.5g/kg of bodyweight/day.
6. Herbs and spices are your friend. You can make a near infinite amount of dishes just using different spices.
7. Add pomegranate to your salad rather than dressing.
8. Discipline starts in the supermarket. If it doesn't go in your basket it doesn't go in your mouth.
9. Delete any delivery apps/throw out menus. This isn't saying never have a takeaway - just make it more difficult.
10. Weight is just one metric. Also go by how you look/feel/how your clothes fit.
11. One bad meal/day is just that. Don't wrote off a week. Accept it and get back on it.
12. Ignore anything that says it is a quick fix. It took you time to add the weight. It will take time to come off. There are no short cuts I'm afraid.
13. Find a form of exercise you enjoy.
14. Make sure you have a positive support network of family/friends. |

"Well done OP. That’s brilliant.
I don’t have any tips for you but can you give me some on how to start
I’m eating my wages away!"
When I started in Jan I was just really strict. I used my vitamins as well that helped. For lunch I would have a slim fast shake (only half the pack though as was to thick for me) and fruit salad (strawberry raspberry blackberry's natural yogurt chia seeds and a small bit of honey. Really filled me up. And then tea just upped my veg to stay full. And stopped eating the rubbish like chocolate chips, no bread etc.
Just fallen of it all for the last week or so and going back to all my bad habits so need to rain it back in. |

Keep going and don't be too hard on yourself. Don't focus on what the scales say too much, it may look like you've stalled but your body is still getting fitter and changing. On the days you don't feel like it just remind yourself of the reasons why you want to get fit and that you'll feel better once it's done. And if you dont feel like working out, just go for a walk whenever you can.
Good luck OP! |

Never, ever think of weight.
Assuming you can afford the following things (it's a lot bloody harder if you can't), visualise what you want to do (is it a sport, a dress, dancing, moving without the hindrances of excess body).
Focus on what those things MEAN to you - how good they are, how they feel.
SEE who you want to be and what you want TO DO.
Then you bring in food around that.
If you think food and weight first, the mind loses track of WHY and only sees WHEN.
See what you want to do and be, then bring in the food stuff.
And it's fucking hard...I do know.
But thinking "weight" usually fails, when visualising "life the way you want it" gives slightly better odds of success.
And if you can't afford the good things you need to bring those visualisations about, then I'm afraid it does get an awful lot harder.
But never as hard as just thinking "weight", for the overwhwlming majority of people.
Some can just think "weight", but it's rare. Very rare.
Most need more than that. |

Do the chia seeds help do you think? What do they taste like? I’ve wanted to try them but was put off by the look of them |

Well done OP.
I struggled after the initial gains but I picked up running as part of my weight loss program. Calories in Vs Calories out.
Started slow... Now a county champ. Still struggling with the weight loss but I think if I lose more I might look unwell. |

What’s your target weight, or rather I should say, how much more kg/lbs did you target yourself losing? It’ll be easier to work back a plan and timeline based on the outcome & if there’s a necessary specific deadline/date. |

Don't be hard on yourself! You are doing amazing!!
Try and move/exercise a bit more if you can, vary it more. If you track calories reduce them a little but not stupid amounts that isn't sustainable. Being consistent is key.
Don't forget that as women we weigh and retain water differently through our cycles so may not always be as bad as you think |
