What is an "exceptional male"?

Plenty of profiles we view have the usual yadda yadda about "no single males".
However it seems more and more common profiles listing "exceptional males only" or "an exception will be made for exceptional males".
What is the actual definition of an "exceptional male"?

I like to say it in the style of Sean Connery.
Eksheptional male. 
I don’t know anymore.
I always assume it’s about an image. Jason Momoa. Thor. Magic, Mike that type of image.
What I would add, an image can change over time, I hope those exceptional males are appreciating the gorgeous women they have found themselves with, and not just popping from 1 to the next leaving behind carnage.

It's a term that gives me the serious ick and screams of self importance. Women and couples say they prefer confidence over arrogance but surely any man messaging a profile that is looking for "exceptional" males is bordering on arrogance anyway. |

It’s just a way of saying most men on fabs are below the desired level. So if one of the 5% happen to message them AND be their type, their message will be entertained at least lol.

I think it has to involve empathy, modesty, humility, maturity and an awful lot of self-awareness.

I get that, but I think in that case, they should really go searching for them as opposed to getting the supposed riff-raff in their inbox. It does seem they just want to have their cake and eat it too. |

I agree. As soon as I read that, I don’t care how good their profile looks, it stops me from reaching out. It comes across as being stuck up. I’m pretty sure we’re all here to find people we’re attracted to. |

I would never rank myself or anyone else it’s just awful.
An exceptional male is whatever the person who asks for it thinks it is , they should expand on what they want. It typically reads like they have had a string of bad experiences , so maybe it’s another way of saying they are problematic |

We are all looking for people, who in our own eyes, are exceptional - whether someone has it on their profile or not, it’s what we are all here to find.
The ones who have that certain something that gives you twinges.
That’s what it means to us - but one persons exceptional could be another persons munter

It depends on who is asking.
I've seen women say they're fussy and only meet exceptional men, and I've not been interested in the men they've met.
I don't think there's exceptional people, just different levels of attraction. |

I reckon what makes someone exceptional will be different depending who is making the decision… for me it’s not necessarily about looks but about the vibe and whether they are enjoyable to chat with, don’t try to challenge my boundaries and seem genuine. In fab terms it’ll be someone who’s got really good in person verifications (that’s why you have to show some lads!) isn’t too pushy but also isn’t one of those guys who’s all mouth and nothing to back it up.

We're all exceptional (ok, most people) in some way, shape or form. Whether it's a physical thing, a facial thing, unbelievable eyes, an enigmatic personality or hilarious sense of humour.
I don't think 'exceptional' is any one thing.
It's just a word. On profiles it goes over my head, much like 'genuine', 'professional' or 'discreet'.
You'll never second guess someone else's defi ition, so assuming you fit it, or trying to adjust in some way to do so is pointless.
If someone thinks you're right for them they'll let you know. |
