"If someone sent you an unsolicited wank video of the back of a totally unrelated forum post, how would you react ? Is reporting such a thing overreacting? I don't appreciate the gamut of cock picks but now it's a live one I like it even less ! I've blocked and yes I reported ! Am I being a prude lol. ! " probably got the same video from the same guy, I just blocked, I found reporting things here led nowhere

"Did you watch it? Report it and see what happens! I’ve had unsolicited pictures (not videos) and I’ve just deleted them and got on with my life. Like people always pointed out on here, a message in your inbox is just junk mail " Yeah and a guy showing you his penis in the street is just a friendly greeting, right?

If I was on a knitting, I would expect my junk mail would be other people showing me what knitted , a jumper, gloves, et cetera. Maybe even somebody trying to sell me new yarn. But I’m on a sex website, where peoples avatars a cock pics and vaginas and gaping arseholes. So I would expect my junk mail to be something similar. And every time a guy on the forums is like “meh just delete it” although he’s saying it with good intentions, what these abusive guys are hearing is “these men all support me and I am in the right for feeling entitled to enter women’s *private* inboxes with pictures of my genitals.” It’s like when you’re in the pub and one of the lads tells a sexist joke. If everyone just stays silent he doesn’t think he’s wrong. It’s the bystander effect and it gives him the confidence to do it again. Rather than blame the people who don't like it, blame the pricks sending their cock to anyone and everyone who'll look, they are the issue. Mrs

But I'm also fully aware of where I am and I know the kind of things men will send. And yeah, that's never gonna change. I don't think anyone is saying it's fine, but jeez if I was so offended at seeing a penis I'd do something about it. Block men, hide images, look at my phone behind my fingers etc. Also, you cannot compare fab to getting images in everyday life.

(you shouldn’t have to put it, but here we are) I support people reading profiles… again, but here we are. The best you can do is continue to report, receiving things you don’t like and I agree with anyone doing that, because then the people who run the website might do something about it. But I don’t think it’s on the list of their priorities, considering it is a website that allows you on your profile to put these type of pictures and videos for people to view them publicly. Also, going back to your jokes amongst friends, I know my audience, and I think we all do, and we tell jokes to our friends which we wouldn’t tell to strangers. But I have common sense., and a lot of people on public forums, and Fab don’t, and they are the ones that find themselves the subject of a thread, where the original post has pointed out, they received a DM they are not happy with from someone - An unsolicited explicit video.

"Just to clarify as it seems things have escalated! I expect cock shots attached to most messages. I know it goes with the territory and I've always accepted that as yes this is a sex site. What I injected to was a video of some random knocking one out. I'm a big girl and this isn't my first rodeo. I wasn't looking for sympathy I was interested in finding out peoples opinions ! Its been interesting reading everyone's view points and coming to the conclusion that misogyny is still alive and well. " I don't believe it's being a misogynist to suggest if you don't like the content, block it, or don't join a site where it's very well known to be mostly men, some of whom are offensive twats. It's a free site and will attract all sorts. That's not to say its ok. It isn't ok. It's just being surprised or offended by it... There are ways to protect yourself from it very easily.

"We shouldn't have to just accept that we will receive these pics and videos. Doesn't matter that's its a swinging site. Men should respect the fact that if we want to see, we will ask" Yes if we want to see it we'll ask ....or they can just ask if we want a dick pic....most dick pics are so up close too & quite graphic..with absolutely no idea of the body type or whatever

If men don't take consent seriously they shouldn't be here. The oh it's ok because it's a swingers site is a load of bollocks, being a swingers site doesn't take away the need for consent nor does it make grown men that act like pricks ok. Mrs

"I went to the supermarket the other day. Imagine how browned off I was when there were rows upon rows of things to buy. I'm going again this week. I hope there's nothing in there to buy or I'll be right dischuffed. " Totally stupid comparison in my opinion. We go to a supermarket and look for what we want, its not just thrown in our trolley by other people. We ask if we cant see what we want.

I expect to see explicit pics of course I do, I choose to look. I don't expect adults to send unsolicited pics/vids like it's normal removing any consent regardless of the site. Mrs Somebody mentioned to me tacit consent Noun. tacit consent - (law) tacit approval of someone's wrongdoing And I’m read into it, and see whether I agree I don’t agree with this. If I actually being on here, we are already consent to this type of thing. I’m 50/50 with the argument, but still hundred percent that we should always ask first. “Can I please put my pretty penis into your basket?” I don't like penis, keep it out my basket - now if you where to send one are you saying that's all well and good? Mrs No, Absolutely not, and I hope anyone was able to read that point which I (and others) have been putting all the way through this thread. And by you saying it and making that point, it give you every right in the world to be fucked off, and do everything you can to make me learn a lesson in respect, if I sent you one. X " Thank you Mrs

" If it happened in Tesco, the person doing it would be on their way to being on a register. None of us like cold callers telling us we had an accident and are due compensation, but would we be ok if they messaged us on here instead? No it wouldn’t. So what makes it ok to it to happen on this site? It shouldn’t happen full stop, regardless of where it’s happened.

"If i saw a video attached to a pic, I'd delete it as I'd assume it's not gonna be something I want to see. Even with attached pics I'm looking at profiles and if I think it's iffy I'll just delete it now. Just because women and couples are on a swinging site, doesn't entitle random men to send pics of their junk or explicit videos. People should work on the basis that if others want to see, they will indicate that they do. If I'd opened a wanking video from someone I've never spoken to, they'd get a curt reply and a block. If somebody wants to report them for it, that's their choice and I'd love to know if there would be any action taken, if a few people reported them. " This. It being a swinging site does not entitle anyone to send unsolicited explicit direct messages to anyone else. Same as someone being in a swinger’s club - a club where people go to have sex with other people - does not entitle anyone to touch them or wank over them without consent. What people have in their public avatars and pics is irrelevant. We’re not talking about what people choose to display publicly or what people choose to look at by accessing a profile. We’re talking about sending an explicit direct private message without consent. It’s not OK and not an overreaction to block and report it.

! " Like any unsolicited dick pic/video we receive we inform the sender the message will be reported and inform them of the recent cyber flashing prosecution and the law around it. People seem to think being on a “sex site” provides them with freedom of consequence from such an act, which it does not.

And indeed if it happened at a group social event organised on here. They’d get reported and thrown out. So it should be no different on here. "Fab is such funny old site. There is this thread, where people are reporting others for sending unsolicited videos and at the same time another thread where women state they enjoy receiving inbox messages from guys taking pictures of their dicks over their photos. Perhaps we should have tick box to say “Yes, send me pictures” / “No, not send pictures until we have chatted” / “No, don’t send pictures unless I ask” That way there is no confusion. " Now finally a sensible answer & a solution. Mrs

Sending a wanking video isn't at all not wanting sexual communication with someone you have got on with and are heading that way with it's a unwanted video in your face. A random cock/vag in your face from a stranger isn't ok, no matter how you try and phrase it and no in no way does that mean you aren't looking for sex on here. We should be able to chose who we get sexual conversation with and sexual photos from not some slimy creep that thinks it appropriate to show everyone his/her genitals. It's not sexy. Just because some don't mind it doesn't make it right. I quite like my man's cock does that mean I'm open to all cocks in my face - no! There minging. Mrs

I'd like to see that too as many of the previous ones have been deleted on the subject. Mrs The mods opinions on this isn't really important, it's what admin deems as being offensive and what isn't offensive.. Mr " Okay. Do you think they would deem it offensive? You show explicit content and you therefore have to be by that nature open to sexual innuendo and explicit vids and pics otherwise you block that content so it can't be sent.

" But sadly that would entail reading a profile and that's where many men and women (with class or not) fall short. For me, I consent on this swingers site, not in the real world, for you to send anything, as long as its legal but don't expect me to respond or not delete it or indeed report it. Liz. X

"It’s cyber flashing. Nothing less, as such it’s now illegal. Your feelings on it are completely valid and no one should be telling you to ‘suck it up’ or that it’s to be expected. No matter what site you’re on or what your profile picture is. " We inform anyone who sends us unsolicited dick/vagina pics of this. Cyber flashing laws are a very much welcomed.

For a start sexual conversation develops - not heres my cock now let's fuck. It's a conversation a getting to know each other it develops towards sexual stuff. Mrs You've never had a nice pussy message? I've have countless 'how big is your dick', 'I want that cock in my arse", that is a stater mail, if I'm to wrack my brains I could come up with a few more but point being, anyone could receive any message without warning of "good looking tits", find it offensive and report someone. Receiving an explicit video doesn't limit someone's consent to sexual content, the site itself does, and this is an adult site. An adult site doesn't change the law & of course I've received those shitty messages, talking sex isn't illegal - cyber flashing is. I can look at any profile and I choose to view that knowing exactly what maybe on it, that's on me. Someone sending me a video of them wanking over me is not on me, it's not my choice & it's wrong, simple as. Mrs Just set your settings so they can't send them, sorted, whats the problem. I never send explicit pics or vids but i know this goes on, i always read profiles. I wouldn't be offended by anyone sending me said pics and vids but if i didn't like them i may block them, easy. Its a sex site and it works both ways if you know something and don't want it you have the tools in settings to stop it happening, you can also specify this on your profile. It's very much specified we don't even meet men they have a huge warning when they message yet they ignore it, why should I stop all conversation because of the ignorance of others? Mrs No i think you can stop just images /vids " Why, I like viewing pics that I want to view, just because people push their genitals into others faces I should stop using the site as I please? No, people on a sex site of all places should understand consent. Mrs

But sadly that would entail reading a profile and that's where many men and women (with class or not) fall short. For me, I consent on this swingers site, not in the real world, for you to send anything, as long as its legal but don't expect me to respond or not delete it or indeed report it. Liz. X Very true. Maybe upon signing up for the site it is made clear that you may receive pic/videos of a naughty (but legal) nature and signing up for this site you are agreeing to this. Or Implement a control for a user to blur/block incoming photos/videos. Plenty of options, I’m sure. And here - legal. Cyber flashing isn't legal anymore. Consent! Mrs As I said, there is another thread going on whereby women say they enjoy receiving inbox photos from guys doing all sorts of things cum tributes etc. They are not explicitly giving consent but It is implicitly assumed because of the very nature of this site. Options like I have described could help both people who don’t mind receiving that type of content and people who do not. So it's implied I want your cock in my inbox because I'm here that's what your saying? Mrs " No, of course it isn’t. Clearly you didn’t read what I wrote, did you. If you did, you wouldn’t have replied with that ridiculous rebuttal. I’ll write it again, a little differently so you can understand. We can cater for both women who do and do not want to receive that content unless they have asked for it.

" Women do get thrown out clubs for the same behaviour, consent isn't a gender specific thing now is it. In my experience women tend to ask for consent first. Where as some do not that's men women couples included. Ask for consent - sex wise?? I would hope they do. I think you are conflating this into a different issue here. So because filters are there, that justifies and excuses shit behaviour, no your just enabling people's bullshit by saying that. Where is the ownership and accountability for deciding to behave in a certain manner... Mr Both women and couples have said they are not offended. Even the OP has said is part of the territory, that this thread has escalated. Unless you want a complete block on sending explicit material, you're going to have to realise you're on an adult site. "It's worth remembering that someone was recently prosecuted for sending such unsolicited images on social media. Many may be of the assumption that the laws concerning such behaviour don't apply here because of the nature of the site, however, I disagree, and, more importantly, I would imagine that the law would also disagree and it all comes down to that most important issue that is 'consent' - which everyone using fab should be more than well aware of. Having such pictures on your profile is one thing, and largely accepted but sending someone such images that they haven't asked for is completely different. " Well said

One more time because I know you’re trying very hard to push back on anyone who disagrees with you. "I …. ….. I hear that, but if one person who sees it being called out, and realises that it’s not okay, or that people are not alright with it. And they then amend their behaviour going forward. Then that's a success right. I'd ask yourself the question Woody, why does it bother you so much? ..... Mr " I can answer that. I play online gaming, (stay with me here) Often when playing online, somebody somewhere has found an exploit in that game where is they can do a certain thing a certain way and they’re able to win or score or shoot you every time. It’s a glitch. I won’t do it because I like to play fairly, but there are some people out there that will do it every single time knowing it will piss you off. Which means there are some wankers who will exploit the game and they get off on it. And I often use the words ‘hate the game, not the player!’ Because it doesn’t quite work with what this thread is about, I play by the rules because I have integrity and morals….. as a gamer….. and also by being on Fab and respecting other people. but some people don’t, and that’s why they patch those glitches. Does that even make sense? haha.

I honestly despair, at the lack of knowledge of basic fucking consent on this site.

"Tell that to the women on here that say they enjoy receiving them who have not explicitly stated as such." The thing about consent is that it’s specific and contextual. Just because a woman says she liked it when Mr X showed her his cock it doesn’t mean that she wants you to show her your cock. It means she liked it when Mr X showed her his.

! Yeah, you probably are over reacting a little bit, given this is a site largely dedicated to having sex with strangers, regardless of all the talk of connections. " Really! Even on a site like this consent should still be a given. And yes it's still illegal on here to private message with unsolicited sex pics. Just because the platform is a bit more risky than fb etc doesn't mean consent goes out the window!!!

"I …. ….. I hear that, but if one person who sees it being called out, and realises that it’s not okay, or that people are not alright with it. And they then amend their behaviour going forward. Then that's a success right. I'd ask yourself the question Woody, why does it bother you so much? ..... Mr I can answer that. Does that even make sense? haha. " It makes perfect sense Woody.. As a gamer you only have your own dignity, self-respect and integrity. And you keep that intact by playing by the rules and fair. So, I pick up it's a felt sense of injustice... Mr

"Did you watch it? Report it and see what happens! I’ve had unsolicited pictures (not videos) and I’ve just deleted them and got on with my life. Like people always pointed out on here, a message in your inbox is just junk mail Yeah and a guy showing you his penis in the street is just a friendly greeting, right? No. Because that’s in the street And I didn’t say it was alright, or a friendly greeting in here either. But it’s not “just junk mail” and more than a guy putting Polaroids of his penis through your letterbox is “just junk mail.” We should all start reporting these graphic unwanted images. Strangely the thread I started suggesting people do that got removed by admin. Look. Here is my view. So I refer to it a junk mail whether it’s right or wrong to send a dick pic or tits into somebody’s inbox, is subjective. Because I know some people on here are here for that. Don’t try to twist it to say I’m (or others) are alright with it, or I do it. The thing is, every time that I post on the forums about how we should report these messages or that it’s just wrong to send them, I get messages from male people, that are bordering on abusive, about how basically I shouldn’t be on a swing site if I can’t cope with men sending images of their genitals to my *private* inbox. If everyone around him (especially fellow men) said “actually mate, that’s not ok” we might actually make some progress. I don't have a penis, I swear. " I don't think it's really about offence being taken but rather more the entitlement being displayed...quite literally

But more to the fact someone is losing (those that are receiving stuff, they don’t want to receive) to the people that I can’t teach a lesson to by taking the control off them and whooping their ass!
