Don't think it is prudish at all honestly. We specifically ask on our profile to not be sent pictures or videos of dicks and we report them all when they do regardless.

The thing is, every time that I post on the forums about how we should report these messages or that it’s just wrong to send them, I get messages from male people, that are bordering on abusive, about how basically I shouldn’t be on a swing site if I can’t cope with men sending images of their genitals to my *private* inbox.

And every time a guy on the forums is like “meh just delete it” although he’s saying it with good intentions, what these abusive guys are hearing is “these men all support me and I am in the right for feeling entitled to enter women’s *private* inboxes with pictures of my genitals.”

It’s like when you’re in the pub and one of the lads tells a sexist joke. If everyone just stays silent he doesn’t think he’s wrong. It’s the bystander effect and it gives him the confidence to do it again. If everyone around him (especially fellow men) said “actually mate, that’s not ok” we might actually make some progress.

I actually support the view of a detailed profile.

If it was me I wouldn't even have opened the video I would have just deleted the whole message and left a note on their profile. As I've said before a change to the message system in that pictures or videos sent to a person the recipient would have to click on it to view, that way people can choose to view or not but still read the message.
