I would venture to suggest wheels.
Although they are throwing up a large number of houses in my area which would contain a quantity of doors we also have an equally large number of distribution centres full of lorries and trailers I think wheels outdo doors. |

Well, there are billions of humans without cars...but they may have a bicycle. If their home contains a few doors...it gets closer.
But...if you include gears/cogs as "wheels" (technically they are), then it's definitely wheels.
Also, we live in homes with doors personally, but we also share doors with others at work, or cinema, theatre, music gigs, schools, unis, hospitals etc....
So there's an awful lot of doors we wouldn't automatically think of.
I'd still go with wheels though, especially if cogs and gears are included. |

"I have 48 doors in my house and 3 in the garage. I have 3 cars with 4 wheels ... and 5 doors each ... so it's doors here."
Aaaahhh...how many of us forgot that cars with wheels are also cars with doors..
Which is probably one of the "misdirections" intended by whoever came up with the original question.
Or trains...loads of doors and wheels.
Or ships...loads of doors, few wheels.
Is there something in our minds that "sees" wheels but makes doors a bit invisible...
Clever shit Sherlock . |

See I immediately thought wheels. But think of cupboard doors (homes, shops, factories, hostipals, aeroplanes, schools etc), lockers, postboxes, safe deposit boxes, every building in the world, including offices.
And the door to my heart….. |
