Saying they look younger than they are and no one ever guesses their real age.
That they're an 18 year old trapped in the body of a 40+ year old.
Saying you're only as old as the person you're feeling/fucking. |

Sad but true
A wee bit irrelevant when ya know they've passed 70 |

Love it. Never understood the only as old as the person your fucking. Do you take an average or do you act like a vampire and suck the youth of the person your fucking? Like some kind of succubus? |

"I can’t answer this because I *am* old."
"No you are NOT!!!"
We’re all old to someone …
Tell you when I did feel old. When I’d been chatting with someone for a while and things got sexy and I went to pick her up for a night out … and it turned out she still lived at home with her Mum. That made me feel old. |

That second one really reasonates with me. They talk about how young they feel while bemoaning how immature young people are |

Developing that distinct odour of old people stink that they all seem to get once a certain age, my mother is in her mid 70s and she just got it this year it’s quite bad I can be lying on the cooch and I’ll hear the door open then the old people stink wafts in and I know it’s her before she even sets foot in the house |

"Supping tea out of saucers...why? surely it can't be that difficult to drink a hot drink?"
My grandad used to do that. The drops of tea used to stick to his moustache .
Honestly though until you've dipped tea from a saucer you haven't tasted heaven |

"Evening everyone
OAP discount. Yet "
Yes you can! At Iceland on a Tuesday so long as you have a 65plus lady friend that you can borrow her OAP discount card to swipe. You should have seen the check out operator's face last Tuesday in Iceland as I managed to convince her that I was 66. |

"Researching ancestry.
I have no idea why people find this so interesting or relevant.
Not bashing, just don't get it. "
I do, I never met either of my two Grandads, one was Scottish and the other was Irish and my surname isn't from their country. |

Oooooooooo I feel seen
I've found researching my ancestry to be REALLY interesting. Maybe more interesting than Mr KCs family history cos his are all northern British peasants for as long as we could find. Mine is a bit more varied. |

And to HornyPT:-
I'm really glad you enjoy it I just don't see what you get out of it?
I feel like if someone told me my ancestors were global explorers or something equally exotic (or even the opposite), I'd still just feel like 'ok cool. What's that got to do with me?'
Each to their own though

I’ll back you on the others but mint imperials are like chalk when you bite into them they’re awful. Not that I’ve eaten chalk but I imagine that’s what it’s like |

What do we love that you don't get?
Tattersal Shirts
Hand knitted woollen tie
Harris T Jackets
Corduroy Trousers
Doc Martins shoes
Ideally we should be driving Morris Minor cars |

Younger people are so interesting! Every time I have a conversation with one they tell me things as if it's the first time I've heard of it...... It's particularly amusing when they think a sex act never existed in the past ...... it's all new ... all of the world is new... I guess it is for some.
This oldie likes.....
1. Non ageists and non stereotypers
2. All veg
3. Big knickers
4. Parma Violets
5. Homes that are not cheap shoddy corporation grey velour and silver
6. Tea from a tea pot
7. People who don't use their phone in the cinema
8. People who judge others on an individual basis.
9. Fruit Cake / Walnut Cake / Coffee Cake
10. Youth!

Best thing ever. I never had a pair but all my girls went to school in them. I envy women of my age with the panache to carry them off. I stand in D. Martin shops and lust after the floral ones.... they do vegan ones now but ..... I can't carry the weight on my legs.... nor do I have the style to go with them. I LOVE them .... The very cut and every fine stich ... a great product. A classic |

This is music to my ears. Re: the boot weight, you don't notice it when seated. Have you tried a wheelchair?!
I've been wearing mine for work most days this winter, my feet are toasty warm! |
