In my experience you become a FWB after a period of time and getting to know someone better, after building trust.
How do they find random men for sex, that may then develop into a FWB relationship? The same way men find women. By messaging on here or meeting in clubs or at socials.

Personally, I met one of my old FWB in the local pub. We flirted and I asked if he'd like to come home with me.
No, he wasn't the hottest man there but be made me laugh so much and was just friendly and not pushy etc
