Having a bit of a mental block for dinner this evening and I'm doing a food shop later today.

What's everyone's plans? I need some ideas

I've got a couple of ostrich steaks in the fridge I might give them a go with creamy mash and some sort of vegetables. Otherwise I might make a ragu and have it with linguine

I've got some of those in the freezer. I'm thinking of a honey and sumac marinade then serving with a roast veg medley.

All over

I am dinning out tonight. Not fine dinning, just low key. I am going to be cheeky and do what I often do at restaurants, deconstruct their menu and ask for one thing from one dish and something from another. Or probably going to have a couple of starters as I often prefer them and then a dessert.

Homemade Calzone wraps. Using a tortilla instead of pizza dough!

So, baked cod with peppercorn sauce, nachos and baked beans?! Followed by cheese with custard.

Only had a couple of starters and a small salad. No dessert, was not feeling it. I should not have had those roasted peanuts in the afternoon.

Yea I know it should be pasta but I’m lazy and I use those microwave packets of rice for speed and simplicity. I’m a ghoul and mix it all in together

It sounds much better with rice. I’m not a fan of pasta so pick rice over that all day long
