Who doesn't have Fridge Magnets ??

"I have them in my house but I don't let them on my actual fridge. Wanted it to stay uncluttered looking then the top of it became a storage dumping zone I hate.
Can't win haha "
Certainly can't, sometimes it's handy and other times annoys me so much. |

"Other than folk in shared housing am I right in assuming everyone has fridge magnets !!
Only strange folk don't, am I right "
I don't!
I keep meaning to buy some to be more normal.
I do write on my fridge with chalk pens though. I have my meal planner written on it, my bin week schedule, and a list of things in my freezer that I should probably eat sooner rather than later. |

I collect them from every place I visit although my child is rather good at breaking them
My favourite magnet is a home made one from a little girl I cared for. It has her photo on and says “Thankyou for nurturing my creativity” |

Yes I do. Have some from places we've been. Some are photos and there are things the kids have made and I've added a magnet to the back of them. One is a blue seahorse my youngest made out of aquabeads for me. It's head has fallen off and had to be glued back but I adore it |

Tons! Everytime we vist somewhere new, we buy a magnet. It's a family tradition as well so any time anyone in the family goes away, they buy one for everyone. Waiting for my NYC one at the moment. |

Big fan of alphabet magnets do you can spell mature words like 'knob'. I would prefer 'bellend' but there usually aren't enough 'e's and the magnets are too week.
* Worried that the grammar police are going to pick me up on the apostrophe with the 'e' in the singular. |

I'm probably atypical in that I only want them there as magnets to hold things up such as a daily dry waste bag at a convenient height.
Therefore they have to be strong magnets and most fridge magnets are piss poor for that.
The best ones come out of scrapped microwave magnetrons and computer hard drives. The latter being the strongest small magnets you will ever find.
Where I live, the local estate agents send out a magnetic calendar every year but they lose their attraction fairly soon! |
