"How many women over 55 still enjoy sex with their husbands?
If you are a woman over 55 do you still have sex or have sexy thoughts about men?"
Seems a very strange question to ask on a site where people are looking for sex.
I think it's a rather Victorian attitude to assume that 55+ is old and that women stop being interested in sex as they get older.

Or maybe you've a partner that age who is not sexually active?
Unfortunately I think society deems people of a certain age, should be sat in their riser recliner, drinking earl gray whilst doing a word search.
Little do they know there's a fair few of us that still feel alive, dress is lingerie and enjoy being poked numerous times by a hard willy  |

OP you’re asking in the wrong place, this is the internet. Perhaps pop down the library or bingo hall with your megaphone and large print flickerbooks.
I’m interested too so please report back, especially on how many still have their own teeth.

It’s not a surprise that lots of perimenopausal and post menopausal women have a decrease in sexual desire. It’s not always down to being unhappy in their marriage. Everyone is different and some women will want it more than others. |

Thanks for all the great replies, sometimes men wonder if it is an age thing with both men and women.
Many wonder what lies ahead for them after women go through the menapause or even men themselves going through the same.
As this is a site where there is a wide age range of both women and men I thought I would pose the question as a man whose wife has not been interested in sex for over 15 yrs.
She is now 65 ,soon to be 66.
By women stating that there maybe hope after 55 it will help both men and women who are getting older. |

How many women over 55 still enjoy sex is the simplest Q .....
Cos how many women over 55 still enjoy sex with their husband doesn't factor in that they might still want sex but NOT with their husband who they've been bonking for the past 40 years |

I keep getting told by guys that are older that my sexy days are numbered. There’s definitely an assumption that over a certain age nobody has sex anymore.

I think a lot of people wonder about sex among older people and there are quite a few men who say that their wives are no longer interested after around 55.
I think it would be good to be able to discuss this openly because lots of people are actually suffering in silence, too embarrassed to see a doctor or talk to friends because they think nobody else has the problem |
