Hell

I was going to see Mr Big in Manchester, but they’re coming to Liverpool in July which is much easier for me to get to and back from

Saw Paul Gilbert do a solo gig, though it was a long time ago, was great.

York

Not been to a gig in Manchester for Yonks.

We're moving up north soon, so Manc will be a possible gig destination again

Seen Slipknot at the Arena and Volbeat at the Academy. Shinedown at the O2.

Glasgow / London

I was looking for a gig to go to in Manchester on Friday. Can’t see anything I fancy though.

There’s DJ Shadow, but that’s sold out.

Gaslight Anthem maybe, but again sold out.

Jesus & Mary Chain I’m not a fan of …

Anything else happening on Friday?

I’ve got the slash concert coming up. I’ve got the music festival in Heaton Park in the summer too.

And I think another fab friend is coming along!!

I was considering the Mr Big gig but only to see JJ Nichols really, price and ridiculous admin charges put me off.

But I live in Manchester don't have the travelling issue anyway

Chorley

Done Iron Maiden, Def Leopard and White snake in Manchester and all of them where amazing

Manc is usually a pretty solid shout for a gig city because there is plenty of night life around to suit all tastes too

Ritz is a great venue... Am going to see Thomas Dolby there in the summer. Of the arena's around here-ish, Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, Liverpool, Birmingham... I'd much prefer to go to Manchester Arena.

Saw Guns N Roses at Main Road…we bunked off school and got ourselves there into the Gig and then realised we had no idea of how to get home after the last train back to Rainhill… found a pay phone called my mum who was the most chill parent of the group and two hours later my dad arrived in the Land Rover and brought us all home… she also kept her cover and all of the other lads never got bollocked.

Well, I wasn't going to mr big on Wednesday but a resale ticket on Ticketmaster was less than original face value so, result. Be seeing JJ Nichols two nights running.

Looked at the gaslight anthem tickets, didn’t have them down as an expensive band to see if that makes sense

Billy Talent in June will be my next Manc one unless anything exciting comes up sooner
