Today I’m getting a new back fence erected (no euphemism intended.) I’m really excited about the end result and can’t wait to see it finished
I’m wondering if I need to get out more
What weird things have got you all excited lately?
Please share so I know I’m not the only oddball |

To be fair we are at an age where gardening excites us. I used to be a hardcore raver for many years now prefer looking round garden centres |

I got excited about removing a tree in the garden.
Many chainsaws later and it was gone, now suffering with a level of guilt for removing a perfectly healthy but poorly positioned tree
Garden looks great though |

Indirectly, but husband/housemate bought a standalone freezer from the next door neighbours.
He is like a child at Christmas. Of course we went to Iceland (sadly just the store) to fill it up and it is quite endearing to see the sparkle in his eye about all those Greggs pastries and Magnum lollies haha |

"My nearest IKEA is in Croydon. The trek to get there makes any Indiana Jones film look like a walk in the park….
It cancels out any potential pleasure in the promise of meatballs, gravy and mash. "
I notice they always seem to be in difficult locations, I have had long treks myself in the past haha |

"Off-thread, but Robovacs; which model would you recommend and can they vacuum upstairs without falling down the stairs? Ta!"
My vac is super old and "dumb". Just bump and grind and does the job the good ones do 20 minutes later
That said, all depends on your budget and whether you want it to mop floors. |

I was lucky enough in my previous job to be able to pop to nearby IKEA for a meatball or two on my lunch break. Happy days |

Definitely a good reason to get excited
I bought some luxury hotel pillows not long ago but I was just excited that they may help me sleep better |

Thanks. I haven't got a specific budget and it doesn't need to mop floors (I didn't know they could do that). One that can do rugs on laminate flooring would be good. |

Money not an issue, then checkout the Roborock S7 Max Ultra. If you don't need mopping you can go lower. They have laser guidance and mapping. Much better than my Eufy 30c. |

I dry my washing on the line throughout the winter! My Nan used to tell me that if the path was dry then the washing will dry! |

Watching AI code whole software programmes. The demo I saw this week showed AI agents plan, write, ask the human for clarification, trouble shoot and finish a final polished software stack for a website. Also Figure AI’s robot demo, which I would encourage everyone to watch.
Exciting but shocking in equal measure.

I have the same. I looked at a rampaging climbing plant earlier and was so excited and satisfied, imagining it being cut back and ousted
It's a Jasmine but the very wrong type of jasmine for anyone to grow. A true thug, with almost invisible flowers and no scent.
My dreams saw this totally gone. Fulfillment
I'm exhausted, under the weather. Spring is here and it's racing upwards and out |

I got excited about ordering a salt pig for my kitchen.
I posted about it on twitter and some vegan called me an animal abuser.
He even started getting angrier when I pointed out (with a picture) what a salt pig actually is.
It did make me chuckle. |

Thank you. I'll look at that model. I wouldn't say money's not an issue, it's more that I've only just started looking and don't know how much to spend! |

My youngest son wants to be in control of the colour scheme, not sure if I’m brave enough to let him |

One of the reasons why we’re over weight, I would never have one of these.
