What don't you know?
Jump to: Newest in thread
As I get older, knowledge increases exponentially, technology moves on and younger people create new words and ways of thinking. As a result, every day I know less and less of what there is to know.
For example - I don't really know what Tik Tok is. Nor what a 'low key flex' is.
So, what don't you know? |

"On a sky remote ?
Yep "
Browse some single guy profiles until you find one using a sky remote as a cock comparison photo.
Then zoom in. Just to check where the buttons are of course...... |

"I don't know my known unknowns or my unknown unknowns - or why anyone made fun of Rumsfeld for that statement. I thought it was quite apt."
It’s often said the importance of knowing what you don’t know., is as important as what you know .
I’m not really keeping up with US elections and on asset treatment / acquire to retire , I’m pretty weak. Football…. Clueless

Many, many things.
Including the following:
Why I'm awake at this time on the weekend.
Why people lie about their relationship status, whether it's a hidden partner or a fictitious one (the latter truly blows my mind).
Enough about geography generally. It's definitely something I should work on.
What the best waterproof mascaras are. |

Tik tok an app created to waste time and keep you distracted from the important things happening in the world .. another form of dumbing down society.. |

"I don’t know how to figure out where the electrician hid the wires in the walls in my house. "
Don't mess with the angry pixies! The previous owner & DIY genius of our current house just bent the narest wire on a loooong length of flex away from eachother and pushed the flex into the ceiling to hide it |

I am directionally challenged.
Maps, roads, places etc they don't make sense to me.
I can get lost going to somewhere I go to on a regular basis.
I can do complicated maths but not maps. I don't know how to direction.

So much as I've broadband going into my box and TV, there's also an old external aerial getting freeview. If everything switched to digital (years ago), why does it still get signal and digital channels and why did I cut it off in a moment of 'nah its not doing anything', leaving me with only one broadband option to no doubt go down. |

You can get a cable detector. They cost from around £20 up to £100+. It should be able to help you find your wires. |

Just don’t try hanging pictures above any sockets or switches….."
The problem is, they don’t run straight up and down. |

Sadly they aren’t accurate. I have already tried some very expensive ones. |

You’re not alone, OP. I don’t know what these things are either. However, as I get older, there is one thing I’m growing more and more certain about: ignorance is bliss Xx |

"On a sky remote ?
Yep
Either just press the menu button (below the pointy down triangle)
Or the back button repeatedly (button to the left of the menu button mentioned previously)
Thank you x "
Always happy to help.
I do a call out service too, but I could be there at least a couple of hours...... |

When you fund the right one , why not put a blob of nail varnish on it so it's easier to find next time |

Absolutely, please don't rely on one.
Usually, the cables run directly up or down from a switch or socket - though occasionally they go a little awry.
Sadly they aren’t accurate. I have already tried some very expensive ones."

"When I get to the Samsung TV help, how to I return to the programmes?"
Registering the guarantee/warranty I found tricky - easier to do via the TV itself than online or by their call centres. Though there should be a home button on either of the two remotes. |
