The 10 year old pics makes me laugh. I know a couple local to me with a profile of 37/42 and another profile of 52/55.. they have literally the same display picture so it’s not even hard to work out... Plus they’ve contacted me on both accounts and I’ve spoken with in WhatsApp..

...To be honest... (Lol), no one has it easy. Women have more choice for sure, even spoiled, but the more choice anyone is given the more difficult it is too choose. Most men have it easier: no choice, so no meets. Can't be resort them that.

I guess it's all about training the good things that come and enjoy them and let the bad experiences go past.

We met under false pretenses anyway, he told me he was "friends" with someone I knew which made me lower my guard. What he failed to mention though was that they only chatted online a few times but never met. To me, that's not friends. And yes, he did get blocked - that was a few years ago, but he taught me a very valuable lesson.

My worst on here?

A gay man who set up a female profile to talk to men.

I was chatting away for a few days believing it to be a lady. At about 10pm on a Friday night, this person admitted they were a guy and asked, as he knew I had had a few drinks, if I would consider not being straight. As he sent me a pic of him being anally fisted.

Disgusting behaviour.

On another occasion I rearranged a day as a couple I had been chatting to wanted to do some shibari and photos. I had set aside an afternoon/early evening as I had plans. They were aware. I got a message saying 'running late, be with you at (1 hour before I had plans). Wasted almost half a day. So I cancelled and blocked them.

The confusion between productivity and popularity.

I was once labelled or accused, depending on how you look at it, of being fab popular simply because I'm a regular forum contributor.

That led me to look at how forum posters are perceived and answered a lot of questions about why some posters are lauded and praised despite their very obvious trolling and grenade launching while other lesser known forumites are hung drawn and quartered for asking legitimate questions.

I said in another post about profile photos being used over and over again. Same one dated 2008 being used 2024. I would love to see photos of no more than 5 years being accepted. Those photos of when you were 18 still used in 2024. We need to move with the times. It has been stuck in this rut since Fab conception.

The issue with that is that it's the upload date that is shown, not the date the photo was taken.

It's not the sites fault. It's the decision of the profile owner to upload something old.

My main pet hate is the common occurrence of people asking if others would like to see/share photos of their wife/gf/ex.

And if that sounds sexist I've yet, in all my years on here, to see a single woman profile start a thread asking if anyone wants to share husband/boyfriend photos, or their underwear, or wank over the phone whilst talking about them.

Consent folks. Consent.

It would be good to have a discreet tick box that is not shown on the actual profile. Along the terms of cheating and another option willing to meet cheaters. It could work similar to the way you can then see the people willing to meet people your age. Obviously men and women may still not be honest but at least it removes the people who will not meet cheaters

I know of one fab lady who has been doing this for as long as I've been here.

She does exist and is well verified. I've met her a couple of times at social events.

Her partner is not on fab because apparently he is a bit of a celeb and has to fly under the radar but she is known for contacting women through group chats and telling them he will be in their area and suggesting they meet him.

I know of women she has contacted through the forums with similar suggestions.

Had a couple once message, long list of demands, wanted my partner to become her ‘boyfriend’. He was to take her on dates plus be available 3-4 nights a week to go round if required. Amongst other things. Suggested they try a single guy. Which didn’t go down too well. Instant block.
