Soft, medium or hard
Jump to: Newest in thread
What sort of matress do you go for. It is a proper minefield out there trying to get the right mattress. Soft, medium, hard, foam, sprung, with topper, without topper...... And to be fair, unless you spend thousands of pounds, the quality is just not there imo. Most sell similar things just under different names often to comfuse everyone and make comparison almost impossible. And then you have to haggle down their over inflated prices. So stressful picking the right one at the right price. I don't know how people buy them online without trying them first either. What have been your experiences? I know it is very much a personal choice but makes for an interesting discussion |

And here I was thinking it would be about how I take my eggs in the morning...
Sift poached please.
I prefer the firmer side of medium for sleeping.
Can do hard as a board but having done that for several years for Lizzy's Service I don't need to do it in my middle years for fun. |

"Firm and large, with a built in your topper.
You can also buy the same mattresses premier inn use, they are very comfortable. I guess they are also well tested for durability "
Someone mentioned their toppers are great |

I like really firm but mine has a built in topper thing so it’s firm but comfortable at the same time if that makes sense? Softer mattresses make wake up with sore back. I also use a really hard pillow which I take if I have to travel anywhere |

I've only bought one once, thouugh we'll need a new one soon. In the shop they said the more you weigh the harder you need the mattress. I felt a right prat trying them in the shop, but I found a great mattress for me. Soft and memory foam.
When you're going to spend that much money, and probably spend 1/3 of your life lying on it for the next decade I'd definitely try a few in a shop, however stupid you feel doing it. |

I get very hot in bed so no mattress topper for me
I have always liked a firm mattress though the mattress is quite thick being 5 ft tall I sometimes need a hand flipping it over
I use a 1 tog duvet even in winter I’m cosy enough but I do like a soft feather pillow too. |

"And here's me thinking it was about Eggs....
Mattress wise, Firm and hard like my men
No seriously though...firm with a soft topper is my preference."
So farvIbam leaning towards thst. Edges must be firm too as many of them have no support when you sit on the edge. Not keen on that |
