How important are verifications?
Jump to: Newest in thread
You can stick the pin back in the grenade.
Not all women read profiles.
The only use I have for verifications is to determine who to avoid, either because their verifications aren't consistent with the rest of their profile or because they are closely linked to people I know who love to create drama.
I've never agreed to meet anyone based on their verifications.
One person's dream meet could be my worst nightmare.
I spend weeks and sometimes months chatting before agreeing to a social and it clearly states that in my bio so that brings us full circle to the women who don't or won't read profiles. |

They’re important to us as the start of the process.
More importantly, we need to get to know them and their personalities…
But, no veri’s or slightly contrived looking ones and the process is likely to go no further. |

Of more interest to me, is how men verify people they've met. I check the verifications they've left for others if I can. If they leave very explicit verifications or time after time verifying the same people they're probably not for me. I know it's not foolproof as people can hide verifications but it's just another tool for looking out for red flags. |

It can be helpful because we have friends that we absolutely trust and vice-versa, if we see someone has a veri from a friend we are 100 times more likely to meet because you can't beat a personal recommendation. |

Hi.
As a woman who a) reads profiles and b) verifications, I'd say that yes veris can be important to me.
A tad hypocritical because I never display erm... sex veris but yes, sometimes they can put me off. I wouldn't say they make me more interested in meeting someone. So they're kind of important in that they can make my vag dry up. |

You can find out a lot from a veri and doing a veri trail.
Reading what others have said and also what they have wrote about others.
It’s another part of getting a fuller picture of someone and whether we are going to be compatible and whether we want to invest time in chatting.
Ultimately if there’s no red flags from their profile, pics, veris then we chat to people to find out more, but initially they could change our mind depending on what’s written.

"I find verifications to be a bit like lamppost pissing
Me too. I’m not a fan. I always read them though. And more often than not they put me off

Very much this. I've just been contacted by a lady friend who had some pics fabbed by a couple I had verified and she was asking about them and saying that she'd be much more inclined to meet them as I'd done so.

I find them useful, wary of the profiles that have been active a long time with none. Hidden doesn't bother me so much as everyone has their reasons and I don't display all mine.
I'll admit the overly graphic ones, I shy away from as that isn't my personality. |

Not overly important, more so used as a guide to see if people are real or fake.
For example a verification can be made for a fake profile, but after being here so long, my wife and I can both spot the iffy ones a mile away.
Plus, nobody really leaves a negative verification, so just use your noggin I guess! |

Verifications are a very difficult thing because one person's meat is anothers poison ..
I've had meets where the person said they'd verify yet nothing,I put it down to two things...firstly my age they don't want to be seen to have met with an older guy . Second, they like to protect their so called ' Straight' masculinity l, even in these enlightened times ...Hidden ones are a marker to note ...
Verification doesn't influence me at all as it's like dining out,a meal can be delicious to one and dreadful Tom another ... |

"I like to see that people are verified before I meet them as it tends to out the psycho axe murderers !
But the ones they've murdered can't leave them verifications.
"
The very first person I met, 100+ people verified him (he displayed all verifications) and many of them seemed to still be alive
That was part of my risk calculation early on. |

You are a wise lady swing. I'm sure that you always do a risk assessment and have it signed off by management.
Plus it makes you easy to spot, what with the hi vis jacket and all.

Veris help me to establish whether a profile is genuine or not. Also gives a sense as to what types of people they like to meet. Reading some verifications if they are overly graphic I tend to avoid. Filthy fun but never with filthy people |

This is the same for me, I have been put right off a few times after reading how a man wrote about a woman he met in a veri. |

I'm sure there will be a latex one somewhere.

I think they are very important as it shows the person is unlikely to get cold feet and turn up and if they are a match for us (I.e If I read dominant and pounding alot it's a no).
Not sure on the snobbery of "I hate reading sex ones" because let's face it, a lot of people are showing flesh and here for sex, not sure why the superiority complex. |
