Women or men?
I find while I have quite a few male mates, the depth of the friendship aside from my best mate is more surface level and I definitely tend to get along with women better than men.
How about you fabber dabbers? |

Most of my older friends were men, I've always got along with men better, however during a single spell they all dived straight in wanting more, it put me off & I felt like they were friends in waiting.
I have 1 good friend I've been friends with forever and that's it.

Oooft! That's brutal. I'm genuinely really sorry to hear that. It sucks when you find out the true intentions of your "friends" and makes you really trust your judgement |

It really does, I was gutted to be honest 3 didn't even wait 24 hours before my relationship ended.
Real friends should have offered support not themselves.

I have tons more male mates and have always grown up, schooled and worked in a male dominated environment but absolutely love the company of women for a coffee and catch up. I wouldn't with my male mates. |

Definitely women.
Most of my friends are female. It's always been that way. I'm more relaxed around them. Love being able to just talk about anything.
The variety in topics of conversation is vastly different compared to my male friends. It's never boring or repetitive.
Men also tend to spin stories, boast and bullshit more. As if life is a competition. Had a couple of male friends that were seriously hard work, always boasting about who they shagged, how and where. I honestly don't care lol. |

"Women.
I’m a total girls girl."
Me too! Even pre transition, I was very feminine. So at school the boys called me poof and avoided me. At Uni, four of us hung out together, all girls.
Again, pre transition, I had some elective surgery and was recovering in the men's ward. They were talking about sports, fishing, perving about the nurses ... It was like they are from another planet... |

I have much more deeper and meaningful conversations with women. I don’t know why, it’s just that.
But a couple of mates will often have a good chat where we can relate to things.
Guys just want to enjoy a break from it all when we get together, easy going.
Funny you should mention this op, just recently I notice I talk to more women than men. |

The mr "
This.
Most men in my experience are way too competitive, need constant ego massaging....... and also don't have boobs.
Far happier in female company. |

Men but I tend not to like most new people prefer the ones I’ve known all my life, being totally honest I don’t associate at all with women unless she’s potentials someone I’d be interested in romantically or I’m carrying out paid work for them |

I'm exactly the same. I have good friends of both sexes but the female ones are deeper and more at an empathetic level. |
