Not a pleasant experience but wont kill you. Depends also which body part you expose to it.

Remember daring each other as kids to touch them

Yes they do what they say on the tin...enough of an electric shock to make you jump....and dont try and push it out of the way with something that conducts electricity as you still get the shock.....

Wouldnt recommend trying to straddle one either, unless thats your kink lol....

Depends on whether it run of the mains or a battery, remember it's there to keep 700kg+ of bullock contained, shouldn't do permeant damage but will bite

They can give you a nasty shock still. Nothing serious, but you'll definitely feel it!

I'd worry less about the fence and more about the rutting bulls inside them

I remember as a kid with the school going on a farm visit. All got told not to touch the fence so of course I had to. First time nothing happened so I touched it again , it hurt for a bit and all the kids laughed at me

Nice to see others using the countryside

Have a look at rutland + electric fencing.

Should answer all your questions in depth

Had a lot of electric fencing when I had my menagerie....you'll just get a bit of a jolt, but nothing major.......all of mine were plugged into the mains, but a lot of them are just run off of a battery.....just enjoy your walking and don't let it worry you

Go on. Go on go on. Go on.

Ya know ya wanna!...ya just gotta!

It's just one little touch and it's all over and done with in a milli second.

Or you could go through the rest of your life never knowing?

(no guts no glory)

If you grab them, rather than just touching them, they don't hurt at all...you do then become a conductor for anyone that touches you, which can be quite funny !
