When it comes to sex 
I know countless posts say otherwise but hear me out..
While we sometimes agonise over lingerie, clothes, our hair, our make up, our shoes.
The underwear thing is a minefield, try to feel confident, so we hide bits that make us insecure, then we have to faff around deciding how it might work in certain positions, access issues, if said men will like it etc etc.
It's stressful.
While men, they just turn up clean and take their kit off!

I just turn up clean and take my kit off too. Naked will always be the best way for me and if the hair gets messed up and the lipstick gets smudged then so be it. I think it's much harder for men to be honest as they have the stresses or keeping an erection. |

I can’t wear make up or fancy underwear as it drives me fucking insane.
I am really really not confident about my body when it’s clothed at all !!!!! but if I’m happy to be naked around someone - I am far more at ease and generally don’t care / forget what my body looks like - it’s just getting there that’s the problem for me as I very rarely find anyone I want to be naked around haha |

Theres making sure you’re clean, double making sure, the shaving, the hairs in errant places, the mild panic looking in the mirror.
Will she be okay with these boxers?
Is she a shoe judger?
Where are the actually decent socks?
Will this after shave be okay?
Mouthwash
Teeth brushing
Trying to sort the shaving cuts
Face scrub
Hope the second bestest socks are okay.

Ladies - wear what you want. I really don’t mind. If you are happy in spending hours putting on your makeup, doing your hair and making a thousand and one clothes choices that, in reality, I probably won’t actually notice, then please do so. If you want to rock up in comfy jeans and a t shirt then that’s more than awesome.
I am just pleased you turned up and I just want you to be comfortable and happy in yourself. You don’t have to impress me. |

I didn’t realise that it was a competition! 
I think that we all have the little stresses and anxieties associated with getting ready and wanting to feel our best. No one has it easier, just different.
I think that the issue is when people start to resent the other person for the things we’re doing, when in reality these stresses are placed upon us by ourselves and we’re doing them so we feel our best for ourselves. |

It’s the suspenders and stockings or hold ups that cause me stress
Many a hold up failure where it turns into an ankle sock is rather embarrassing in public

Do men not worry about how they look, whether their partner will enjoy it, whether they will perform, whether they’ve got everything they need and whatever else? Or is it just me? 
Preparing for sex can be hard for anyone.
Also plenty of women turn up, take their kit off and also get down to it. Not even matching underwear! The cheek! |

I love the idea of holdups but mine never “hold up” for more than 5 minutes.
Suspender belts? Stockings? Naaaah, too fiddly!
But I totally get the lingerie/outfit thing. I make an extra effort there in the hope it would distract from the ever expanding list of imperfections in my body.  |

I totally get what you kean OP..
For me personally, getting to spend time with a woman who I share a mutual attraction with is all that matters.
The best sex is always when you're both totally comfortable with everything and feel confident to do or say whatever you are feeling at that time. If certain underwear may make you overthink things or worry about certain situations, just take it out of the equation.
I know some like to really take time and make sure the makeup and underwear etc are extremely sexy, but that is because they enjoy that process as it makes THEM feel sexy. Then some just like to get naked as soon as possible as THAT'S what makes them feel sexy, but ultimately most of it is going to end up in a heap on the floor anyway.
The most important thing is to do whatever you need to do to make sure you feel comfortable and bugger everything else..
Be happy with who you are and what you have as there's not much you can do about it anyway, especially in that moment, so why worry about something you can't change?

This time however, I (mr) respectfully disagree.
Feel that sex is easier for ladies than gentlemen in the actual act.. Guys cannot fake interest.
Although I thoroughly agree with you that I can be ready and out the door in half an hour, mainly due to the male lack of choice in outfits and personally I don't have to do makeup, coiffeur my barnet (it does what it wants generally)
Y will have, an hour or so doing her makeup and hair to the point she feels confident, then of course which underwear (3/4 sets) dress (x4) shoes (2/3 pairs), then handbag and coat..
Hence it's rare we'll make pre drinks.. |
