This picture seems to be getting so much news coverage, and has now been withdrawn.
According to the news, It's Kate herself who did some small edits, why is it generating such a big fuss, she just was wishing the world happy Mother's Day.
I don't really see why it's the big deal it seems to be made out to be.

Whatever the reasons photographs that have been released like that are rarely withdrawn.
The royal family doesn't officially do anything that hasn't been carefully approved first and isn't intended to send a message in line with their current pr. |

I think the issue is that there has recently been a lot of speculation and conspiracy about her absence from the public eye, as well as that of senior royals. The conversation about it on CBB only added to the controversy.
Then a heavily edited photo that lots are suggesting she isn’t actually in, shows no wedding on and some are even suggesting is AI generated emerges and just adds petrol to the flames. |

I did hear that there were speculation that it might not actually be her something to do with a mole being removed from her lip.
Even if it was a really hair surely they would have added a mole, it's too obvious not to be noticed |

Another conspiracy theory doing the rounds , the internet thinks she is dead or in a coma and demand that they wheel her out to show she is alive.
I do find one thing odd though, that they have signed her name off on a post a couple of hours ago saying that she had edited the picture. That will make the conspsiracy therorists worse.

It was taken on a dslr camera with a cannon lense and saves twice on an Apple Mac and used adobe pic editor once at 21.45 and the next day at 09.50

I can't say I give a toss. There is a phone camera being advertised that auto edit your pics. Maybe she should have used that.
I thought pretty much all celeb pics are doctored in some way, especially of they are on front covers.
The classic one being the Pretty Woman poster where it's Julia Roberts' face but on a different body.

I have just heard a representative from the National Union of Journalists say that this picture ‘compromises trust and integrity’ in the Royal family … coming from a journalist I nearly fell off my chair laughing!!

Unfortunately the picture editing of publicity photographs is so commonplace now it no longer warrants a mention. Yet it's this editing that contributes to the undermining of women's (and increasingly men's) confidence and perception of their own self worth, particularly in the young and vulnerable.
It's because of this that i don't understand the fuss that's being made of this minor 'tweak'. Surely we should concentrate more on the kind of editing that can actually do damage.

I could just about recognise Kate Middleton and I am wondering why I am even bothering to read this thread, other than because I wake up at his time and am waiting for a pee before I sleep again til 7am.

The press and quite a large section of the population are interested because the monarch has cancer, the future monarch's wife is recovering from something, the monarchs brother has a cloud hanging over him and the fifth in line to the throne lives in America estranged from the family.
Currently the country is in a miserable condition, the governing party has never been less popular and the national mood is low.
The monarch and their family is usually used at times like this to boost the mood and chivvy us all along. Currently it's just adding to the general malaise.

The only thing I see odd with it is she is wearing jeans. I wouldnt want to be wedged into jeans after abdominal surgery I would want a nice loose elastic waist band, but grey joggers would probably have created more of a fuss.  |
