I hope nobody finds this in bad taste. I saw the happy mothers threads and made me a bid sad thinking of my own mum. For those of us who lost our mum and still think of her, a place to still say happy mother's day and rest in peace mum. You will always be loved xx

My mum passed six years ago. I wrote her a letter yesterday, attached some great photos of her and sent it to my siblings so we can all celebrate what a great mum she was.

My mother died in quite traumatic circumstances 18 months ago. I am still reeling from that experience.

I try not to think much about that/her in all honesty but she was a good mother and wanted the best for us when she was sane in the early years.

couple, us we him her.

My mother left us when I was quite young and never really managed to get close to her in the 40 year's in-between all conversations always mostly small talk, just before the start of the pandemic we suddenly clicked and thing's suddenly felt like a normal relationship for her to die traumatically during the first lockdown, never got a chance to say goodbye.

Not in bad taste at all! I’ve lost my mum and I think anyone else who has will appreciate this thread and take a moment to think of their mum

I don't think it's bad taste at all. I'm keeping away from fb today, it makes me sad. Lost my mum when I was a young teen, I never really got to know her. I'm a mum myself now so I focus on that on days like today but its really hard sometimes.

It's hard isn't it, just be kind to yourself

Today is a bitter sweet day. My kids are coming over later but I would give anything to see her today and tell her how much I love her

In memory of my beautiful Nan, she was my parents and grandparents all rolled into one. An amazing, strong, humorous and loving role model, accepted and protected me for sexuality despite her generation. She gave light in my dark childhood and teenage years. How many men in the world think women cannot be strong I will never know. Best wishes to others who have lost their Mums/ Nans or other figures who took that role

I'm still lucky enough to have my mum, but my thoughts go out to those who have lost theirs, that includes my other half.
