She was intelligent, interested in what was saying and was really interesting. She had a sincere wonderful smile that was so welcoming it made me feel right at ease sat next to her.
I remarked to Cherry afterwards about her bright warm smile and her sincerity and thought to myself I’d love to see her and chew the fat with her again. “I’m sure we’ll get the chance to chat again” I thought to myself, I never did though and I’m both angry and sad about it.
Posting on a forum thread feels like scant tribute to such a lovely person who seems to have brought a smile to everyone who she met and I wish I could do more.
Be kind each other people, you never know when you may not get a chance again.

"I was fortunate enough to while away a sunny Saturday afternoon in a London park with Cherry Lickety a load of other fabbers. After the park we all got to go to a bar to sit, talk and exchange stories. I sat next to Lickety whilst we ate food. She asked me all about my life, about meeting Cherry and promised (like so many have) to hunt me down if I did anything to upset her
She was intelligent, interested in what was saying and was really interesting. She had a sincere wonderful smile that was so welcoming it made me feel right at ease sat next to her.

"Some of the old timers on here will know Lickety through the forums, clubs and parties. Over the years, we became good friends, which I'm proud of. Sadly she passed away after a short illness yesterday. I'll be attending her funeral when it's organised. If anyone else was a friend and wants details, please drop me a private message. RIP Lickety. I don't have anything to add to the beautiful words others have written because I didn't know Lickety personally but I remember her from Fab and she always came across as lovely person, a good soul and a beacon of common sense and sanity. | |||

"Rest in peace dear Lickety. She meant a lot. She was a lot but in the best of ways - passionate, caring, intense and always with wisdom and time for others. Made you feel like you mattered, were seen and heard. Friendships, work. Random thoughts or more serious matters. Lickety was truly brilliant and the world is a little less bright without her and her love. "The great ones always die too young.... she seems like one of those loveable people you just had to like. I hope she gets a good send off. For the next organised social, you should do something in memory of her! Play her favourite songs and tell your stories of what she meant to you. Xx | |||

I met her many years ago when I did the London Moonwalk. A few of us from Fab met up for lunch the following day. She was a lovely, kind person and one of the Forumites I've been keeping an eye out for since returning. RIP Lickety. | |||

"I've not read the whole thread but we got together last Sunday to start planning the STP for Lickety.9 We also felt there was something we should say about her funeral. Fab is a strange place, and for a lot of us a 'secret life'. Though many of us loved her dearly, we believe that going to her funeral is a bad idea. That event is for her family, non-fab friends, work colleagues etc. People that do not need their memory of her potentially tainted should they find out about this life of hers. The STP for Lickety will allow for us to grieve, say some words if we wish and remember her fully as a fabulous fab lady "From the above poster, it very much sounds like the funeral has already gone ahead, and that they as a very close personal friend has already noted this. I would be crying the whole time so I'll spend the evening with my sister, remembering the good chats I shared with Lickety and great days we all spent at the Secret Tea Party events, she so thoroughly enjoyed. I'll forever remember her at the Summer ones where she wore "The Cloud" and brightened up the days even more. I still can't believe she's gone. | |||

I have known lickety on the forums for many years and met her a few times at various social events.
My condolences to all who knew her. She was a lovely lady.

Lickety was lovely, eccentric, funny, encouraging, kind to me and happy to meet socially for a drink when we were in town at the same time (in the days prior to the pandemic).
