With face pics so as I’m still fairly new to this what does everyone think is that worthy of a block that was the only message I sent so let me know x

They will have had 100 messages that say fancy a chat.

You need to send something that's stands out

Don't dwell on it. Move on. Also, block the person blocking you. For your own sanity.

It might not be the message which provoked the block. It could be numerous reasons. Something in your profile text. Your location. You pics. They might have recognised you.

It's more than likely you're not what the person is looking for currently. Or maybe you're a little *too* local. Could be anything, best not to dwell OP people use the block button in different ways

Ok so say you were net fishing for a very specific fish pulled up the net and there 2000 of the wrong kind of fish you had to move before finding what you want you would move all the dud fish out of the way to find it yes?

It is about the least imaginative way of starting a conversation I can imagine! I’ve started chats on here with guys who have messaged “is that a fish tank in your photo” or “how far did you run today?” or “your first threesome? How was it?”

“Fancy a chat?” would never get a reply from me and if the sender was 100 miles away even less so. The problem is if you reply then when you decide to “block all” it doesn’t block that user. Personally I only block individuals if they spam me repeatedly and I can’t see the messages I want to see for repeated messages from them, but every individual has the right to block whoever they want to!

They didn't fancy a chat. For people who receive a lot of messages it's often easier to block than say no.

I'm not saying it's a nice experience but if you can have the mindset that a block or no response is the same as a 'no thanks ' you'll probably find it easier.

Good luck

Agree with what others have said. If someone blocks you, it could be for a whole host of reasons so best not to let it get to you or dwell on it OP

The FAQS say that no reply is acceptable.

Fab can be very tough on single men. Really the best way to approach it is to expect nothing.

Not saying you would but it never stops at no either they try to convince you why or the abuse starts. Its easier to just block. Its definitely not nice to experience but its the reality of the site

Use your time energy efforts on those who will be interested not on those who aren't

Carlisle usually

Block just means they're not for you and saves either you appearing in each others searches or inbox again.

Don't take it as an offensive move. Just a time saving one.

In my experience on this, and other meet sites, anyone opening with ‘fancy a chat’ is typically getting their kicks from initiating online fantasy convo’s and not looking to meet at all. Block and move on is a good tactic to stay sane and reduce wasted time.

If they want to see a face picture first, they should sign up for tinder or feeld.

I don’t know about that it is a site where you potentially meet up so I get why they’d wanna see your face before haha

All over

It's not a very nice thing and if you are new here you assume it is a bot like in the world outside where if you say hi to someone they will most probably say hi back. Not the same and as others said just don't let it worry you. Getting involved in the forums is a good way to interact with prople as of coitse are socials though not always for everyone. Uou take your time. Evrryone has different reasons for blocking and ofyem not even anything to do with the message you sent. All the best.

Maybe isn't your first time texting her/him (they) and you don't remember it

Maybe they recognized you from real life or a previous account.

Maybe they keep a second account where you already have sent the same copy-paste message.

Maybe too many messages and blocking them is easier

Maybe you live too close and it's risky for them

Maybe they press the wrong bottom, happens to me a lot.

Maybe you need to put some minimum effort and elaborate a proper opening line.

Maybe the account/gender/ age/ is fake

Maybe is sb. spying on his/her crush not intending to meet.

Maybe they are evil and enjoy playing with your lonely heart

PS: Yesterday I asked directly to meet for a social with a guy who had been texting every hour. He blocked me instantly. Fake account. I bet he is 15 years old

Don't worry about it, get used to it and move on. Good luck!

See it as a good thing, saves you wasting your time on someone who isn't compatible with you.

One sentence closed messages are hard to reply to - answer is yes or no, in this case a block see it as a no thank you.

Your status update suggests you aren’t hanging around so maybe they feel you are just looking for quick sex.

But there’s also 100 other reasons why they felt the need to block - you’ll never know and just see it as you aren’t compatible and move on.

Its the way of this site but could be many reasons didn’t like beards, didn't fancy you, didn't like your location too close too far, didn't like your message, so they block so they don't have to deal with you again, just move on try not to let it upset you

Had a message today replied no thank you and he blocked us which is ok because he doesn’t want to bother us again which is a good use of the block button.

If no interest then block.

Not a good fit then block.

I’m going to block me now!!!

It’s fab and very normal just like no reply.

Just about anything is worthy of a block,if the other person wants no contact from you.

It's not all about what you want

Try not to take it personally

Welcome OP. Try not to second guess a stranger’s choices. They will have their reasons, and you will never know what they are. You will encounter all kinds of mystifying behaviours that will seem unreasonable to you but perfectly valid to them. Just roll with it and don’t take it to heart x
