It charts the life of Claudius Caesar. It begins, if I remember correctly, with Augustus Caesar who is poisoned, then Caligula becomes the Emperor. When the powers that be become tired of his corruption he is murdered and his uncle, Claudius is then named is successor. I won't tell you how it ends - you will have to watch it to the end to find out. |

Good book. Not seen the series. Derek Jacobi is good. He was in Gladiator too - an injoke?

I find that with a lot of things I watched in the past. I rave about them to my kids, they come on TV so we watch them and I think 'god this is crap!' (and they agree!)
Maybe my fond memories should stay just that |
