I've recently started trying my hand at baking.

Made kinder blondies today and brown soda bread which turned out so good.

Did a little happy dance when the bread came out looking perfect

What have you done lately that you were proud of yourself for?

I held down a conversation with a woman I'm interested in without crying, saying something horrifying or running away!

Well done! Love Soda Bread but so hard to find it here

That sounds really brilliant, well done you. As you know I am a bit of a foodie so that is pleasing to hear. As for me, well I started to sort out stuff that needing doing and had put on the back-burner for a while but also, which is unlike me, told someone where to go as they deserved it and that did feel good too.

She knows me fairly well. I'm hoping the fact I didn't make excuses to get away has given her a little hint but, if not... I have a plan!

Nice! I love a bit of baking... or making anything at home from scratch really.

I attended my first ever social event at the weekend despite every fiber of my being telling me to run away It was great!

It's daunting spending large amounts of money so well done you

I just don’t like eating cake?

Changed how a government section operates. Bought in new legislation and it all started on Monday. Took 5 years though.

I completed my care certificate last week.

Ahh I’m terrible at baking. Well done OP! Isn’t lovely when you realise you can still surprise yourself!

What have I done recently that I’m proud of - something creative. I’ve moved into a professional arena that I’ve always wanted to work in, but never really thought I could. But to my surprise, I’ve taken to it like a duck to water and I’ve received some lovely praise from some very professional people. It’s given me a real boost, and I’m excited for all the projects that might be coming next

Birthday cake is the worst…. but yeah, most cake I do not like. Although I can tolerate a Victoria sponge, and that’s because of workin a bakery that was my thing I had to learn and do.

I hand quilted a couple of patchwork quilts that I made; from scratch and posted the finished articles on insta.

One is a Sashiko quilt with 16 different hand stitched panels!

A double Irish chain in the colours of the Irish flag and a Kaffe Fassett rainbow quilt.

I absolutely LOVE making quilts
