I would say they do, because as I see it, it is unavoidable for humans to not have one, we have the choice to build our beliefs on reasons and persecution or to be it on faith, not just one belief but many, even an atheist have a belief.
What is your view about it and do you agree that everyone have a belief too? |

Everyone can have a belief. It can range from something deeply religious on one hand or nihilism on the other.
My beliefs have changed as I've aged. I do believe a higher intelligence is at work. If you look at the complexities of the universe and mathematical principles that underpin it, it's hard to believe things came about merely by chance. |

I believe that people can overcome certain problems and issues within life and the world, but I don't believe in things such as a god or other fantasy ideas. That word belief means you don't know, but you think something is so. So that's why I believe in every persons potential. |

"Belief" as in thinking things are true or false, yes.
"Belief" as a way to sneak in religion by the back door, no. I think religion (and other softer ways of putting it - intelligent design, whatever) was a way of reasoning about the world that made sense in the absence of reliable scientific technique. While not all reasoning has to be scientific, and the standard of proof can shift according to the rigours of particular disciplines (etc), religion (and related phenomena) is/ are almost entirely unique in that they insist that things are true in spite of evidence, and then claim it as some kind of virtue. I find such a notion preposterous, and hope that I never succumb to such foolishness. |

I tend to accept reality as opposed to have beliefs in things. There are some things that I accept on a personal assumption which could be considered "belief" I suppose...
I believe one day I will find a fine woman to marry.
I believe that there are only about five shows on television worth watching these days.
I don't have any form of belief system though. |

I think I have tentative trust in things - that trust is confirmed or reduced by evidence and experience.
I believe my mother loves me because her actions and her words over a long period of time match up. But you can see that there's evidence behind my belief.
I would believe you if you told me you had a dog, because it costs me nothing to believe that and it's not a wild crazy claim. If I went to your house and saw no evidence of a dog, I might believe you a bit less, even though it still costs me nothing. (If you told me you had a pet dragon - this is a relatively famous line about belief/ evidence - I wouldn't believe straight away, I'd ask to see evidence. Because, frankly, bullshit) |

I will say, if the OP is trying to say that atheists believe in some sort of supernatural power, then no. I can't speak for all atheists, but for myself, God/ Not God/ Not Jesus or whatever is as important to my belief system as Not Zeus or Not Ra is to Christianity. It's a nonsense. |

Most people who believe in the Big Bang and dinosaurs because it because they were told to believe it as small children.
They may claim the science is valid but 99.99 % of believers wouldn’t be able to summarise this science , the article names or who wrote them never mind find them if asked
read and understand them.
But they trust the clever people not to lie to them and then rationalise their faith with science, in exactly the sane way people justify large purchases based on emotion with some metrics.
Dinosaurs were definitely made up by the people who work in dinosaur museums, they admitted it to me when I challenged them, there was some creatures but no one has a fucking clue what they looked like. An bit of old fossil rock would be boring for a school trip so they got creative.
And the Big Bang , well it’s the only explanation science has so far. There was like nothing then a Big Bang…OK, fine.
Maybe in 5000 years they may have a different view? …. . Does it matter if they are right or not ? Not to me. Let them get on with it

"I believe in following evidence, even if I'm naturally predisposed to wanting to believe in magic
aren't we all! Man, life would be easier
Sending you some magic "
The magic I pictured in my head was a shower of glitter I don't have to clean up |

It was our ability to imagine some danger in the long grass that set us apart from the other monkeys.
We saw the other monkeys get eaten and came to believe that some divine intervention showed us the danger.
That goes on for a few hundred thousand years and voila you end up with an elaborate system of nonsensical beliefs. |

Gave up on believing stuff a while ago.
Some things I accept as true (until proven otherwise) and some things that don't make sense I take as being hogwash until they can be verified.
No point concerning myself with stuff that can't be proven.

I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier. Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be. |
