Tonight I'm catching up with someone I've known for over 20 years. He was at one point my first love. He has seen me at my best and my most vulnerable. He opened my eyes to many things and awakened me to a whole world of sexuality. We had many years of great times and memories made. However I've not seen him in about 8 years! We don't speak often these days, more just Facebook likes. I've changed, he's changed and quite honestly I'm nervous to see him.
Yet we left each other a voice note last night and it was like we were both transported back 20 years.
So my nerves, while still there are less, I want to hear all about his life, his adventures, his family and his excitement for his future.
Probably the best cake and catch up I'll have in a long time.
When was the last time you were reunited with someone? How did it go? |

I hope it goes well for you, OP. Last time I reunited with someone was a few years back. Similar to you, we were in a relationship years ago but eventually realised we were after different things and parted ways. We stayed Facebook friends, chatted from time to time. Then one day we met at my local swingers club, by accident. He was there with his partner at that time, I was there with mine. My first reaction was to hide! Lol. But then just went quite adult about it, we acknowledged each other and had a short chat there. A few months later, he messaged me on Facebook to say that his relationship broke down-he just needed a friend to talk to, but one thing led to another and we decided to meet, just to catch up. I was very nervous beforehand, but once we met, everything just fell in place. We are now FWBs, with great sex |

In the last few months I've had an ex wife I've not spoken to in 10 years, an ex FB in 12, and an ex GF I've not seen or heard of in about 27 send me messages on Facey.
Seems Facebook stalking is a common hobby still.
Two out of three I'd gladly meet for coffee. |

Think I have it locked to friends only and whether ex girlfriends could message me I dunno.
In some ways a chat over a coffee would be nice

Last year I saw my sister and brother-in-law for the first time in 6 or 7 years (I can't exactly remember). They live in Australia, and the last time they were out, my wife, and our brother were still with us, my daughter was still at secondary school and the pandemic was still to happen.
What a different world. |

During lockdown got contacted by old work mates and a friend via BT YouTube channel from over 30 yrs ago. I realised I have nothing in common with those people as I'm a different person now. |

Have a friend that I’ve known since I was 5 years old. We grew up together and went through a lot of death and trouble together. We very rarely touch base anymore but, when we do get together (usually years in between meetings) it is always like we have never been apart for more than a day |
