To modify an Easter themed phase, how do you choose yours?
My wife and I both like tattoos but have vastly different approaches to choosing them. Mine is very much a "considered" (aka procrastination) process which then evolves whilst Sharky's is a much more spontaneous (and at times spur of the moment) method. |

I tend to find something I like or look at a gap I have a think of wht would look good there, I’m roughly 75% covered so limited on a theme like lots of people do nowadays, so I say see something you like or design it and get it done |

I said I wasn't having any more ! But I saw a really nice quote the other day and I thought it would make a great tattoo. As for the others. Some are based on art work I've admired, others because my tattoo guy had just drawn them as unique pieces and I liked them. Some are really personal. |

"Mine has been in the planning for a while and is very personal to me..just need an artist to do it x"
I can heartily recommend the place I've been to twice in Wigan. World renown multi award winning artists who guest there regularly. |

If I'd been closer then I would've had a look x |

I put a lot of effort into finding an artist I like, and then I just give them a part of my body to do whatever they want with. Giving an artist as much artistic freedom as possible really brings the best out of them. |

I totally agree, I search high and low for about 4 months before settling on an artist and I would have gone anywhere in the country to be honest.
If it's going to be a really good one, it'll be staying forever so may as well make a weekend out of it if needs be. |

Thanks all for the comments.
It seems around 50-50. I do admire my wife's bravery for the spontaneous, "I'm going to get a tattoo today" approach. That said I shall be keeping to my more planned route. |

Mine were all designed for me by the same artist - who I've been using for many years. They all (except one) signify an achievement or milestone in my life. So I research what things might signify those events in the art world, and then take my thoughts and ideas to her, and she comes up with a design (similar process to what Tattoo Fixers do). Only once has she failed to hit the spot, but another chat and she nailed it! |

I definitely go the planned route.
Planned what I wanted for my full sleeve and waited a good couple of years before getting it done.
Already planning the other sleeve now, so will get that done in 2026 |

I start with an idea, message my artist, then play a game of back and forth suggestions until its eventually evolved into something I like.
Usually quite a long process and good results. Don't think I've ever done spontaneous.
I'm overdue another, but 'money'..... |
