I was led to believe this site was fun, and would be good to be part of. How wrong was I to believe that, its an awful place, where people are just rude, obnoxious and extremely mean from the countless people I have chatted to. It's a place where people don't bother to have the respect or decency to read a profile before sending a message. Or when they do read a profile they don't get a response. I do understand some people can get tonnes of messages. And replying to all can be hard, but at least reply to the polite messages where someone has took the time to read your profile and has put time in to a message to send to you.
The website also seems like it is full of fake profiles, male female and couples, so be careful folks,
May I state the above information is from what I have seen on here but mainly taking from people I have been chatting to on here,
So I will stick to the good old fashioned way of getting lucky. In person in a bar etc.
What are your thoughts on the above. |

It is what you make of it. We have been on and off here for many years and have had fantastic meets from here.
As we are getting older and less enthusiastic about ping pong messages, (as well as life generally getting in the way), we now just turn up at events and have fun before going back into our normal vanilla lives. |

It’s hard to judge a polite message I would rather not respond that subject myself to what comes after it
I get so meny “polite” messages
That turn nasty when I say no thanks not for me or sorry not interested
I go from being the most beautiful thing on site
To just a guy in a dress who want to stick they D in you anyway real fast
So best just to not respond rather than face subjectshoin like that |

I agree that it is littered with fakes; profiles with pics from the internet, Dodgy verifications where there is only one and by someone who joined around the same time and has none, guys posing as women ( I've been stung twice) and then there are the dreamers and time wasters.
....but amongst the sea of dross there are genuine amazing people. It is no different to being out in the vanilla world. You have to be patient and look. I have some lovely friends now and have attended some great events.
I enjoy my time here and accept that there are people who will get 50 or more messages a day and just cannot respond.
You also have to be mindful and realistic that not everybody has the same tastes as you and do not jump on the first person they encounter. |

If you're chatting away and discover your time has been wasted because someone is fake, then you might need to look at your selection criteria.
A no reply is a polite no thanks.
The site is a tool and many people of all genders have a great time as a result of it, maybe you need to manage your expectations a little?

This place has served me very well over the years. I've had some great experiences and met some wonderful people. So much of what you get out of FabSwingers is about what you put in, and setting your expectations appropriately.
Respectfully, if you can't handle rejection, then it's not the right place for you. And that's a lesson we've all had to learn here! |

OP, there ARE incredibly rude and entitled folk on here, just like there are in "real" life.
Unfortunately, as a single male, you do have to have a thick skin on here - it's not for everyone.
Maybe read up on site rules, then have a think if it's right for you. Take care

OP I'm gonna close this as otherwise I suspect someone will say something they may regret.
As suggested, maybe read the site FAQs re replies and maybe some forum threads for advice on how best to use the site, have a positive experience and lead a less stressful Fab life.
