By fun I mean banter, a joke and laugh. So much seems so serious and nasty at times on here

Too many snowflakes that get offended at the blink of an eye possibly?

The world can't take a joke any more. You need to mind your Ps and Q's around everyone all the time now.

I think this is a bit like people who say they are bored are often the boring ones. If you are missing fun then your fault for not finding it! There is so much fun in the world. Swinging fun and normal fun and laughter.

My apologies. I may not have got across what I meant

I am having fun for sure but so many take everything so seriously. I agree you do need to make/find your own fun what ever that may be

The mods only remove content that goes against the forum rules.

Have you tried complaining to the site owners if you want the rules changed?

Some of the stuff that some of the folks here try to pass off as a joke/banter/fun is often far from either

I think a big factor of using humour is knowing your audience and on a public forum, you have people contributing from different backgrounds, experiences, walks of life to the point where someone will call you out if they take exception to your joke. It's as simple as that. The humour isn't gone, you just have to know your audience and understanding the platform you're on.

Now my eloquent answer has been given, those talking about snowflakes not allowing people to say anything need to get a fucking grip and touch grass

It does seem rather than leaving any baggage at the door it's getting dragged in. There's almost a daily occurrence of calling people out over something, as if perfect lives are being lived and should be followed. At least there's fewer grammar threads, which is a bonus (for me)

Why is it that the hard of thinking always jump in with their snowflake remarks? You don't need to be offensive to be funny. It's not an excuse for racism, sexism or homophobia.

If you can't tell a joke without offending others you are simply sad not funny

I think people worry too much about offending people. Specially when people are so easily offended.

I never set out to offend but, I don't care if I do.

The onus surely is on us all not to be offensive and stay within the sites rules?

It seems it's because it's on line that some turn into complete fuckwits then whine when they rightly get pulled up on it..

Trouble is....that's correct.

Anything reported doesn't land in a mods inbox. It goes straight to admin.

Mods are volunteers. They don't make the rules and only act when something breaks the forum rules that anyone can access.

So unfortunately nobody goes crying to mods. They can't.
