Sad truth is they make more off other things that they do being a pro athlete
I know a friend off a friend who I spoken to on a couple off occasions
Made more in one day off other sites than her full fighting career at the top level off mma |

"Some things you post about are important, Tom.
Others, not so much."
Yeah, I'm struggling to feel the slightest bit angry with this one, can't even muster a good, I can't believe it! |

I think they look kinda ridiculous with heavy make-up as do many....but if they feel better that way leave them be.... especially if they're on the world stage....so many look totally different without the makeup though....they look like a totally different person.... thankfully I only wear a dusting of powder, mascara & lippy.... so theres no shock surprise when I'm seen without it.... |

It could be a case of by wearing it they feel better about themselves and if they feel better about themselves they perform better.
At the top level of sport even 1% makes all the difference and if wearing makeup and feeling good gets that extra 1% out of them they'd be silly not to do it. |

"I suspect if they didn't, the media would take great joy in commenting on how they look without it"
And/or even esteemed Fabbers. One can easily imagine a "Why don't female athletes make an effort with their appearance?" in a parallel universe... |

Have you noticed how many male actives either are clean shaven, or have manicured facial hair.
They also all seem to have fairly well kept hair.
And no one has ever heard of a male athlete have a pre game ritual either ....
Unless it's performance dehancing, who gives a fuck ?

"Why oh Why? It's a race to the line and not a fashion parade. "
For the gram, for the sponsors contracts, for the broadcast contracts, because media demands they look perfect as well as run fast, and possibly because some of them want to. |

Anything that increases an athletes chances of getting sponsorship, media promotion and an income boost will naturally be utilised.
Personally I think our own Sharlene Mawdsley looks gorgeous on the running track |

Who cares? Does it affect their performance?.... no.
If someone wants to wear make up to enhance their looks or for self confidence reasons then fab, it's very shallow to criticise and judge someone on their make up over their talent. |

I don't see the issue.
Some women like to always be fully made up, others don't.
It's essentially their job, do you object to women in other physically active roles wearing makeup as well? If not why not?
