Away from chatting on these forums, how often do you look in the meetings forum?
*sideward glance to the camera… 
I often complain about my lack of social life, but in fairness, do I use fab the way that would. Enid it me? I do t think I do.
And I will get to a club soon, I’ve got to choose the right one.

Never.
Haven't met anyone new in 4 years and apart from a couple of group socials in that time I haven't made any effort to meet others.
I've been here 8 years and I've never looked at the meets section of the site in all that time. |

Just to add we don't have a full time club scene here.
They only operate on a once a month basis and all events are by invitation only so there aren't the same options. |

I never look at anything outside the lounge. I’m not interested in meeting at the moment and just enjoy the chit chat between friends and acquaintances.
If there’s a social I rely on hearing about it through word of mouth. |

It was one of the first places I looked, as I thought that’s how you did things here.
Put up a meet request and then answer the messages you get. ..
please stop laughing!!!!

i dont use the forums to find meets why would i it a tiny tiny part of the site (1% or 2% at most) and most that use it dont meet / here for forums only ..
alot use forums for many other thing from keeping up with friends to plain old prick teasing or to be karens or to try and right the world |

Not very often. I do if there's a social and someone prompts me to but generally socials I find out from word of mouth. I'm planning a club visit soon, the first in a long time and even that event I found out about from a friend. |

Like most here, I’ve only ever looked in the meetings/events forum after being told to by someone in here, in the Lounge.
But I’d kind of expect that answer when asking the question *in the Lounge*.
This must be shame for anyone trying to promote an event. Which reminds me: Who’s going to the Manchester Lounge Social in March? I’m going. And I bet there’s a thread about it in the meetings/events forum. I should go have a look. So should you. Yes you! You, reading this! |

Even though I've never looked at the meets section because that's not how I've ever met people here, there have been comments on threads before about the lack of a dedicated meet section for Ireland and anyone using it has to trawl through lots of irrelevant posts before finding anything that suits.
As a result there is currently a regularly updated thread in the Ireland forum detailing all the events and organised socials for 2024. |

I wouldn't use either the forum or the meet section. All of my meets are through people I've been chatting to. There is the rare occasion (I can think of 2 in 12 years) where that's been because we've got chatting via the forum. |

I’m only looking for socials. i tend to not to leverage search feature, but the people I’ve found to have been most interesting have come to me from the forums.
Very lucky and surely an outlier?
I think inmost cases they too have not been searching but really looking for friendships and valuable people to get on with without pressure of anything else. I’m grateful for those relationships already and have a few that I feel close to. Even tho miles may separate us. |

I look fairly regularly, the clubs section too.
I think that fab works best when it’s used in conjunction with socials, events and other parts of the lifestyle. Just relying on fab as the only way to make connections is a very good way to crushing your heart with a brick |

Doubt it , Play by rules , not demanding , conversation , socials , polite.
Only to stood up 5 time in last 3 months , Profile look at by couples thst state no single males , but m is bi , So clearly a fske couple

Looked once and never again. I don't think anyone that would interest me, or be that interested in me, would post a meet. They'd want to meet me specifically, so wouldn't need to post like that. |
