Exhibitionists in the gym that don't like to be looked at.
Jump to: Newest in thread
OK ladies, please clear this one up for me as I had to really bite my tongue today in the gym. Which isn't like me at all so I was proud of myself..
A young lady, probably about 23 years old, absolutely stunning, wearing the smallest and tightest light coloured shorts you could possibly imagine, pulled up as high as they could possibly go without cutting off blood flow.
She also had a hoody on, but she'd rolled it right up at the back an tucked it in to itself in a way I've not seen before so that her very perfect little bum could very clearly be seen, as well as literally leaving nothing to the imagination in the lady garden department too.
She walked passed a guy who was on a low level machine about 5 or 6 times, bending over about 6 feet from him.. Twice... Seamingly to tie her already tied trainers.
Her bum was exactly eye level to the poor chap.
Then she looked at him as she was bent over and caught him looking at her bum. So then she started shouting at him and calling him alsorts. He was like a rabbit in the headlights and didn't know what to do or say.
I opted for a very stern head shake when she liked around to see who was watching the ensuing commotion. It was very difficult to bite my tongue though.
If I went into a gym or any other public place wearing a pair of extremely tight cycling shorts Nd no underpants so you can clearly see every contour and bump, I would expect people to have a look at the 3 pairs of socks I'd stuffed down there as it's very clearly on display through a very thin fabric.
Yes I know people should be allowed to wear whatever they want, but surely you can't have a go at people for looking at you when you are parading around as many red blooded men as possible to make sure that they're aware that you're there and how little you're wearing. |

Dubble edged topic here
So glad I don’t public gym and have my own home private gym
I have experience one side off this
And only seen the other side off it on social media and such
First off my clothes aren’t consistent for people to perv at me no matter what I have on and I say this because I have been on the receiving end off this
If say walking to a club or bar or something
Yes I am looking for attention when in sed club or bar but not walking down the street
Hence why I have long zip up maxi dress thay cheap and unflattering and 2 size to big for me
But easy to take off when close to the venue and roll up and stuff in my handbang as I don’t want unwanted attention just because I have a short skirt on fishnets and heels
But I have also seen the social media trend whare they are doing it for likes and clicks on they platform
For me all cameras and phones should be banned from the gym period
Bring one out should be the same as a swingers club
Insta banned for life |

"Do men usually notice this much detail in the gym?
I'm glad I just stick my headphones on and don't pay attention to anyone else."
You couldn't help but notice! I'm normally a headphones on and head down type of guy too, but this was ridiculous! |

I'd have just given her the slow hand clap and a big well done for drawing even more attention to herself.
Or
Say "sorry I wasn't looking at your bum, but looking at something on it I thought I could see a shit stain or maybe you have sat in some chocolate" |

I wouldn't say she was an exhibitionist because of her choice of clothing.
She was obviously being oogled by you aswell, since you could give so much detail and even notice if her laces were already "tided twice" while pointing out how her top was tucked.
I think what you are referring to are cycle shorts or Nike pros which are both very popular at the moment.
I dont think anyone was painted well in this scenario. I certainly wouldn't shout at someone but at the same time she has the right to workout in whatever.

You could be right, but that guy definitely wasn't part of the set up, he was almost in tears. |

Please transfer this to 'Stories and Fantasies section'.
Thank you.
Why would that be?
Is there no place in the fab gym going world for a little bit of humour?"
I assumed that the OP had a sense of humour from the bit about the three airs of socks! |

If an adult can't control themself and ignore someone and concentrate on what they're doing in the gym, they probably shouldn't be out alone.
This nonsense about "red blooded men" not being able to control themselves is exactly that, nonsense.
If someone is staring at women in the gym, regardless of what they're wearing, I have no sympathy if they get yelled at.
They don't have to look. They, presumably, know staring is inappropriate but they choose to do it anyway. They're responsible for the consequences.

Hi, no, they weren't the Nike pro ones as they don't vanish up the crack of your erm cracks.
Of course I noticed, the whole gym noticed because of how she was behaving and dressed.
You notice when someone looks good and keeps on wondering around in a way that is often seem on a catwalk followed by her looking to see who was watching.
If something doesn't seem normal you pick up on that, just like when someone's slamming weights down or leaving them lying around.
She was without a shadow of a doubt an exhibitionist.
You could clearly see her camel toe, especially when she made it quite clear by the stances she was standing in and the way her hoody was tucked in upwards into her top so it was clearly so show her bum off. She looked great, so by all means show off what you have.
I have no issue with people wearing whatever they feel comfortable in, but I know for a fact that if a guy wore light coloured cycling shorts with no underpants underneath that women would 100% look. But some would then then call him a weirdo or a perve.
My issue is that she clearly wanted to be looked at and then berated someone when they did followed by another look around to see who saw her do it. |

They "can't help themselves", apparently.
They're the logical, rational ones who are the rightful leaders of the entire world, not like those silly, emotional women, but suddenly "can't control themselves" when caught behaving badly around women.

Well the OP noticed a lot of detail for someone who wasn't staring, and the woman caught the other guy staring or she wouldn't have had anything to yell about.
I'm fed up with guys claiming they "couldn't help themselves" when caught doing something they chose to do.
If they actually can't control themselves, maybe they should stay away from other people because they obviously aren't safe. |

You clearly didn't read my post properly as i made it very clear what she was wearing AND doing.. It wasn't the normal thing people do at a gym which is why is caught my attention.. But right away, you've decided that the man was wrong and you weren't even there to see what was happening. Lol.
I'd done my weights workout and I was on my cooldool on the cross trainer, so yes, when I'm on a cool down I don't need to be as focused as I was, so I look around.
If you were wearing those clothes and then kept bending down in front of someone, the man is behaving badly..
Even if he was already looking that way. Because he's being a man.
100% if a man was wearing the shorts I me toned you would have had a look and if you say you wouldn't I don't know if I'd believe you. |

It doesn’t matter what someone is wearing to the gym. Two reasons:
- wearing skimpy clothes doesn’t mean you deserve to be treated like a sexual object.
- men still treat you like a sexual object even if you’re wearing baggy clothes. |

When you see something out of the ordinary you notice don't you, so you look and you see what's going on. If you don't then you're probably one of those people that get thier phone taken or pick pocketed.
Normally when I'm training I have headphones on and my hood up, I want zero to do with anyone or anything else.
But because I'm a man and I've noticed what's going on, just like I notice things in the streets that are out of the ordinary, I was staring too. So I "can't control myself!"

This is exactly why I stopped going to the gym.
I’m sure I’m going to get all sorts of abuse for saying this, because sadly it seems this is what this site is all about…
However, totally agree with what OP is saying, girls literally flaunting everything. Which in turn makes me feel uncomfortable, because being a male (sorry but we have testosterone in our bodies) of course I want to look. However, due to societal pressures we’re not supposed to.
I’d love an all male gym, just like the numerous all female gyms popping up. Of course that would be seen as sexist…
I mean I love it when women will wear a scarf in the Middle East to stop men from being overtaken with lust from the sight of a shoulder.
But if I look at someone who’s virtually showing their Jack and Danny, I’m the problem?!

I thought we’d moved past the ‘she must have been begging for it’ defence a while ago. I guess not.
*rolls up sleeves*
Let me explain it for you in as few and in the smallest words that I can, OP.
It doesn’t matter what she was wearing or not wearing, she was there to work out. As were you. She was wearing what she felt was appropriate clothing for her own comfort. Her body isn’t yours or anyone else’s to ogle. That’s it.
As a side note, the fact that you’re so ready to defend the guy and demean the woman for simply wearing something tight is deplorable and is part of the reason why r*pists walk free every day |

I'll preface this by saying that people are more than entitled to wear what they feel comfortable in at the gym. I'll wear shorts when doing legs and I'll wear a vest when doing upper body because that's comfortable.
However, if someone wears bright colours, it's a natural to look. Not to stare, but look. The OP did also say that the guy was on a machine eye level to her arse so if she was in the guy's peripheral vision, I can understand why he would look and didn't deserve to be admonished in public. |

"I wouldn't say she was an exhibitionist because of her choice of clothing.
Mrs
Honestly when I see people strutting around, I wouldn't give them the time of day or attention. If her shorts were up her arse- maybe the staff should have said something about hygiene etc. There is no graceful behaviour in shouting at another gym member.
My husband informs me there are alot of "outrage" videos on social media at the moment from not using correct pronouns to looking at someone before flying off the handle. Its genuinely bewildering why people are openly so aggressive and hope people stop looking for drama just to moan on social media and look the victim. Anyway I still standby that people can wear reasonably less clothing (in a hygienic way) as working out is hot work.

Hygiene?
What's unhygienic about a wedgie?
And what is it the staff should say? |

Sounded like a thong short thing ... were cheeks on show? - cause if so poor bloke might have lost his head if she bent too close. Someone's sweaty arse/crotch on a machine gives me the ick especially if shorts are wedged in your arse crack to look like a thong and it's skin- serious dermatology issues could arise. |

By the sounds of it there would have been a queue to get onto whatever she'd been sitting on. |

"I thought we’d moved past the ‘she must have been begging for it’ defence a while ago.
That’s it.
As a side note, the fact that you’re so ready to defend the guy and demean the woman for simply wearing something tight is deplorable and is part of the reason why r*pists walk free every day "
Just remind me again where I said or even insinuated that "she's begging for it"
Again, read the post as its quite clear what in saying, let me say it in the tiniest of words as I can for you.....
She WASN'T working out... She WAS doing all she could do to get as much attention as she could... You ARE NOT ogling someone when they literally bend over 6 feet from your face in the direction that you are facing anyway.
As a side note, why are you so quick to defend someone that you don't know, didn't see, and have no idea of the circumstances..... I wonder what your narrative is.
You can roll your sleeves up all you want, saying that the reason rapists walk free because of my above point could very well be the most idiotic thing I've read on here.... And that's saying something. So well done..
It bugs the life out of me when people try and side with a narrative that wasn't and isn't even part of the original post. Read the post, not what you THINK is between the lines.
Back in this world..... I wasn't aware of those tiktok people setting up and recording things like that for entertainment, but it does make sense with the way it all happened. Ffs what is going on with people! |

You can roll your sleeves back down again now.
Let me explain it for you. Actually I did above.
Didn’t even have to roll my sleeves up either. |

I think there's every chance the guy in the gym didn't do anything. Your description made me really uncomfortable though OP.
As do several people responding who think that people wear tight stuff to the gym for attention. Sometimes it's just the most practical and comfortable outfit.

what makes you assume thats what was ment?
there is nothing wrong in a woman (or a man) dressing to look good for someone, even if that someone is themselves.
in this case i'm 99.99% sure this was a tiktok 'i caught a creeper' video for engagement. |

I know you were replying to that comment.
general comment. Its not what she was wearing, it is that she (allegidly) went out of her way to 'catch' a guy looking at her then have a go at him..

"OK ladies, please clear this one up for me as I had to really bite my tongue today in the gym.
Tiniest tight.. Shorts
Could see her perfect bum
And lady garden
Your words op.
Not sure what your issue is that you asked us really. As you answered it yourself. Can wear what she wants.

I love these types of threads because you can see _everyones_ default biases and reactions coming out to play. There is something for everyone in this type of scenario and, whatever your view, you will find something to use as a weapon and something to get shocked by.
I have seen men ogling women in the gym and women shaking their arses to get attention. I have seen blokes flexing their guns to preen and women staring at the muscle heads. I don’t think any sex is permanently evil and I don’t think any sex is eternally saintly either. |

I was trying to get across how this wasn't your normal gym attire, and her behaviour was anything but normal, but with a bit of humour that is hard to get across through text.
I definitely don't see ladies wearing tight stuff as only doing so for attention, but this was very different..
hence my detailed explanation.
I think maybe the tik tok gobshites are very likely after reading some of the replies and if I do see her again and she does it again I'll let the staff know what she's doing and hopefully she'll get kicked out. It's a crazy world.. |

I'm going to have to ask another question to give some more nuance.
By what standard does a woman measure herself in order to look 'good'? |

When I go to the gym I focus on my program, I don't tend to pay attention to anyone else, other than a cursory nod to anyone on a treadmill next to me.
Pretty much everyone around me does the same.
I'll occasionally spot someone preening and posing or being loud out the corner of my eye. Things that stand out do catch our attention, a room full of people working out doesn't stand out.
A preening, posing loud person does stand out because theyre not part of the "same" picture, so we notice it. We eye roll and resume our own program.
Someone barely dressed, (man or woman) strutting up and down the gym, posing, preening, and not working out stands out like a sore thumb.
Of course they're going to be noticed regardless of gender. The men and women there to work out will both notice the barely dressed poseur.
It's OK to look. It's not OK to gawp and leer.
People are free to dress how they please and feel comfortable.
Dress and act to be noticed, QED, you'll be noticed.
In the gym I dress to work out.
At work I dress for work.
When I go out I dress to be noticed.
Two pence spent. |

It's a shortcut to getting views on their channel. That either satisfies their need for attention or helps monetise their channel. |

This I agree with and is generally the issue I have when I see videos of people being shamed in TikTok and the like because it feels t lik they are caught naturally glancing, not oogling |

People can dress to be noticed, but that doesn’t mean it’s permission for anyone to act inappropriately.
If someone was repeatedly staring it would annoy anyone |

"If an adult can't control themself and ignore someone and concentrate on what they're doing in the gym, they probably shouldn't be out alone.
This nonsense about "red blooded men" not being able to control themselves is
If someone is staring at women in the gym, regardless of what they're wearing, I have no sympathy if they get yelled at.
They don't have to look. They, presumably, know staring is inappropriate but they choose to do it anyway. They're responsible for the consequences.
Utter flippin nonsense luv
Social media is full of young lasses filming their gym routine wearing barely there crop tops and shorts no wider than a belt tht show every part of their anatomy
We are going to look and if they dont like it,cover up and shut up

"So what gym was this? "
The TikTok gym.
It's where men spend their time watching videos of women in the gym and then get angry about women making videos in the gym.
'I'm just here to train'... clicks on next video of carefully placed camera of girl doing squats...
