I'm not really sure about the process that happens when it 'fizzles'.

If you're not in a relationship there's nothing to close, is it expected to be ghosted,'friendly', how are you bs,tell someone they're in your past???

Are you talking about fuck buddy arrangements or similar. If so I think it is a relationship and whoever wants to bring it to a close should just say so. It stops the other person wondering

If they were interested: They would be interested...

I don't sweat these things, people come and people go. Nothing I can do about it tbh.

I think I can be quite bad for this. If I'm not getting the impression they are keen to see me then I quickly tell myself they don't want to and I wouldn't suggest it.

I tell myself that they probably don't want to hear from me so end up going quiet. This is the fizzle out for me

Messages - "Hey, sorry I don't think this thing is moving forward. I'm guessing you feel like that too. It was nice chatting and wish you the best. Happy fabbing"

Real life - mmmmm good luck it's never easy be that FB, FWB etc etc.

Tell them you love them. They’ll end it for you!

For messaging, in my opinion it can perpetually wind itself down if you both don't know how the other is feeling, because no one really likes to reveal their hand and you wait for the other to move it along or spice it up or whatever fires your rockets.
