Ok ..so we are told that Co2's need to be reduced by scientists and governments and that we are near the tipping point...quite what that tipping point is seems open to debate.
The volcano today along with the others this year will contribute 145 million to 255 million short tons of carbon dioxide this year.
186 billion tons of CO2 get pumped into the atmosphere each year. 180 is by natural causes:volcanoes, decaying plants, the release from the ocean. Some report only 6 is from man-made activity. Even if we eliminated ALL man-made CO2, the change in atmospheric CO2 would be negligable.
So is it all wishful thinking ...and the earth is changing so live with it,try to adapt or can we really effect global climate change ...? |
