What was the last film you watched?

"Bob didn't disappoint me !"
I just felt that the film didn't focus on any particular aspect of his life well. It was meandering across politics, music, family, etc. I would have preferred a longer movie getting into details of them without just scratching the surface. |

"Saltburn what a god almighty weird pile of shite !
Shocked I tell you ...... shocked !
Well it was a load of shite lol ... obviously I'm the only person who thinks that "
I don't think you are alone.... it didn't exactly sweep the tables at awards did it ? |

I had a busy weekend being lazy and watching films.
Green Book - 4/5 really enjoyed, one of Viggo Mortensen best performances
Darkest Hour - 5/5 just for Gary Oldmans performance
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - 3/5 found it very slow but still ok
Argo - 3.5/5 decent watch
Whiplash - 3.5/5 surprisingly good, good performance from Miles Teller
Gone baby gone - 3/5 good but not great
Gone Girl - 4.5/5 really good, thought the ending was a bit rubbish

Seen some right shit recently.
The bricklayer - made me want to smash up my TV.
The painter - a little better, the TV was safe
The bee keeper - generic action film miles ahead of the previous two. But still only a 6/10 at best.
Lamborghini - had hopes higher than Snoop Dog. But my whelm was less than satisfied.
Can't remember the last new film I watched and was blown away by. |

"The Banshees of Inisherin…had a great write up and cast but unfortunately left me thinking….what a pile of shite that was, it made no sense whatsoever and didn’t go anywhere. "
Did watch that fairly recently. Enjoyed it. |

I liked it. I guess the whole point was to compare the lives of people in a pointless and boring but safe exists in the island with people moving to a happening but unsafe area in Ireland. People in the island trying to compensate for the bore by other means. |

An Cailín Ciuín (The Quiet Girl) is a far superior film imo. |

Me too. Although it was a bit sad in a lot of ways. They have good working chemistry though |

Last film I watched in a cinema was "Poor Things", which I and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed!
Last film I watched ar all was a rewatch of the director's cut of "Alien" from my "Alien Quadrililogy" box set. Man, that's a classic. Still a masterclass in tension and set design, 45 years on. Not many movies can claim that. |
